Mustaine and Ellefson were taking shots at each other in the Rust In Peace book that came out last year. At first I thought it was just a bit of sensationalism to get people talking about the book but I guess there was some genuine animosity brewing.

No release date has been announced so there's plenty time for a new guy to get to grips with things. There will be plenty of eager replacements ready to beat off each other's stiff opposition.

I think Mustaine has been sound to JR, like he forgave him for that bullshit lawsuit, if I remember in the book Ellefson says "If a whole lot of drugs didn't ruin our friendship, a little bit of sobriety did" Mustaine responds at the end saying it was a surprise to hear but they arent as close as they were Ellefson moved away etc,
