Enthroned- Prophecies of Pagan Fire. I don't think I've ever listened to Enthroned before. I think I always assumed they were second rate generic blasting BM, and maybe their later stuff is, but this sounds really good.

British Lion by British Lion. If you try ignoring the horrendous production where each track sounds like a demo recorded in a different studio and some of the Bono-esque lyrics, the majority of the songs are really good. Surprisingly so. There's some tasty 80s vibes going on in a few. Going to check out the follow-up now.

Wizard: Bound By Metal.   CD

Tasty Manowar worship from Germany.

Same few albums on a run the last week-ish, each of these a few times.

Sepultura - "A-Lex"
Swans - "Filth"
Swans - "My father will guide me up a rope to the sky"
Talk Talk - "Laughing Stock"
Talk Talk - "Spirit of Eden"
Devin Townsend - "Infinity" (plus B Sides)
Bloody Head - "Perpetual Eden"

One of those 2nd wave 90s bands ,along with Hecate Enthroned ;where everyone had a t-shirt or an album by them, but no one really rated them!.

They definitely played Cork a good few years ago too.

Bought Armoured Bestial Hell as a kid. Was shite.

They supported Gorgoroth in 2007.

Never had a t-shirt but I do own albums by both bands.   Saying that I never felt the need to own more than one Hecate Enthroned album.

Darkthrone - Circle The Wagons
Opeth - Orchid
Incantation - Onward to Golgotha
Orphaned Land - A Heaven You May Create
Sadism - Obscurans (first thing I have heard of this Chilean Death Metal band.  I like.)
Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak

Haven't heard Sadism, more Chile sauce no doubt
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Enthroned fanboy here. I own 7 of their albums, and an EP! I'm not the only freak on the forum, I'm fairly sure hellfire is a fan.

The first 2 albums are solid, B-tier black metal. The releases up until Carnage in Worlds Beyond (great album) are very samey, but I rate their later stuff like Sovereigns even though it's a completely different band musically. I think there's only one original member left.

I'll start a separate thread on the band. See you all there.  ;)

NP Brodequin - Harbinger of Woe
Defeated Sanity - Chronicles of Lunacy

That Brodequin album is absolute savagery. Not many bands can pull off brutal death metal that doesn't become boring quickly, but they nail it.

Witchfynde - Give Em Hell
Witchfynde - Stagefright
Witchfynde - Cloak & Dagger
Overkill - Scorched

Necrophagist - Epitaph. Tech death at it's best.
