Sinister - Cross The Styx 8.5/10
The random six have been all over the place stylistically this week and when that happens usually some Old School Death Metal will top the tree.

Intronaut - The Direction Of Last Things 7.5/10
Initially picked this up because I liked the cover art but it's very decent prog/sludge/post rock ala Tool, A Perfect Circle, early Cynic.

Bunker 66 - Beyond The Help Of Prayers 7/10
Pissed off black thrash from Italy out on Dying Victims since '21.

Morbid Evils - In Hate With The Burning World 6/10
Utterly draining, joyless filth from the Finns, like Godflesh playing thick black sludge.

Tjolgtar - The Tjolgtarian Mass 4/10
Super lo-fi one man Black Metal, one of those albums that I've no idea why, where or how came into my collection

Ildjarn - Seven Harmonies Of Unknown Truths 2/10
Early Ildjarn demo featuring Samoth on vocals, originally sold exclusively in Helvete. These two selling points can be the only reason why this got a vinyl treatment from Eisenwald. Completists only indeed.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Tankard - Pavlovs Dawgs

Human Impact - Gone Dark.

This is great stuff so it is. Kind of a supergroup but I've only heard of the drummer. The list of bands is impressive all the same and the music is really good. Noise rock type thing on the face of it but sort of not that as well

Listening to the new Tribulation, the singer sounds a dead ringer for Fernando from Moonspell these days
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Candlemass - Nightfall
Klaus Schulze - Black Dance

Spotify kept pushing it on me and I was fully prepped to ignore it given nothing has really clicked since Formulas. Delighted I didn't, it's brilliant altogether.

Cultes des Ghoules - Coven

This Murder in Red track from the new Tribulation is so damn infectious. Reminds me a lot of latter period Ulver, but better.
