Great album all round, and know it inside out, but Disco Volante is the desert island disc for me.  One of the best albums ever written.  Could never ever get sick of it.

I'd be Disco Volante too, though only be a lash.

I stuck on Screaming for Vengeance to wake up this morning and, on a whim, that decided me to dig out Diamonds by Enforcer, which I haven't listened to in years. Still very enjoyable: if I'd been having cans for breakfast I'd say I would have been even more into it. Alas...

Listened to the new Mekong Delta this morning on YT,  straight onto the next purchase list
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Played some Amon Amarth for a bit of easy listening,Versus the World and Fate of Norns.

They're a band where one or two records is enough to own.  Was never tempted to explore their entire back catalogue.

Fluisteraars - Bloem

Dutch Atmospheric BM, only stumbled upon this release recently and finding it fantastic so far. Not straying too far from second wave influences but with a streak of modernity in some of the song structures to my ear, flashes of 'positivity'. Really good.

Chris Poland - Resistance

Anything this guy releases is a compulsory purchase, still one of my very favourite guitarists. I would fucking love him and Vernon Reid to record together.

I like that song they play, but only the version they call An Ancient Sign Of Coming Storm.

lol sounds about right

At the Mountains of Madness- V/A. While Heaven Wept playing at the minute and, my god, they were a force to be reckoned with in their day. I've grown to like your man Rain's vocals on 'Vast Oceans Lacrymose', but I'd still rate Tom Phillips's distinctive and soulful style of singing far above his.  There is simply no other voice in metal that sounds like him. And the earlier, more overtly doomy style of the music was simply perfect.

Mayhem back catalogue all day. On Wolf's Lair Abyss at the moment. Decided to shell out for the DMDS LP boxset yesterday, better to get it now than get stung for 500 quid for it on Discogs in a few months.

I thought it was sold out?

I got it from Cult Never Dies.  I have a feeling it won't hang around for long.

Gave in to temptation and ordered it from Indie Recordings. Couldn't resist in the end. I'm off to stock up on beans, bread for toast and Koka noodles now.

Haha, you'd only regret if you didn't! Well worth it anyway.
