Grand oul day hiking, so it was.

Goatmoon - Finnish Steel Storm

Ares Kingdom - Return To Dust

Manilla Road - Voyager
Devil - To the Gallows (got a soft spot for this album, plenty of catchy riffs and hooks).
Visigoth - Conqueror's Oath
Sepultura - Beneath The Remains

After all the Megadeth talk in the other thread I've reached for Peace Sells today (the original, not the shite remix).
Had they left I Ain't Superstitious off it I think it would be a perfect album.

Graveland - Immortal Pride

This is fantastic stuff, the perfect mix of early raw Graveland and the more bombastic later style.

Running Wild - Gates to Purgatory

The Halo Effect - March of the Unheard

Blood Incantation: Luminescent Bridge & Absolute Elsewhere

Coroner - R.I.P 9.5/10
The seminal debut from 1987 showcased the band's unpolished technical thrash , utterly essential stuff.

Manowar Hell On Stage Live 9/10
Because no head should go to long without a power-up from these old masters.

Coroner - Mental Vortex  8.5/10
Last of the classic Coroner albums released in 91,the winds of change were blowing and the Swiss were already starting to cast eyes to MTV and the rise of the more groove oriented bands from America. This though, remains a very worthy entry in the band's canon.

To Live Is To Ever To Be In Danger 8/10
An old Red Stream Records comp. featuring the likes of Bethlehem, Skepticism, Himinbjorg, Obliveon, Necrophagia...some great stuff on that label back then.

Vulture - Ghastly Waves and Battered Graves 7/10
Second album from the Speed-Thrash Germans who carry the torch of the likes of Exciter and Razor so admirably. Clunky album title aside, there's plenty to raise your fist for here.

Coroner - Grin 7/10
And finishing off the Coroner kick with their farewell album, some would say their sell out album but c'mon we're not talking Load or Risk levels of transgression here, just a band who were trying to keep relevant while still keeping plenty of their own sound. The fact that they believe this to be their best album is a stretch too far though..
