Love that Atrocity album, that and Hallucinations. They really did fall from grace big time  :(
Actually those last three, the Demigod, Disincarnate and Atrocity are gold, don't know the Phrenelith

The two cover albums of the 80s pop gear in particular are, well, an atrocity

Phrenelith are some good stuff. Modern but grime-y death metal along the lines of Dead Congregation and Cruciamentum Very enjoyable listen, their second album is decent too :abbath:

JOURNEY - Frontiers (1983)

This album definitely had a big influence on early prog metal, and the more progressive US power metal acts as well as AOR.  Especially the likes of 'Edge Of The Blade' and 'Back Talk'.

Escape and Frontiers in particular are pretty much perfect albums.

Mastodon - Blood Mountain

Am I very slowly coming around to this, my least favourite Mastodon album? Maybe. The likes of Bladecatcher is still pure annoyance, but I've been able to listen to the album two days in a row now and enjoy the majority of it.
