I'll let you know what the gig was like.

Well you should have plenty of time for that during quarantine!  :)

Decided yesterday to skip this, I can't justify the risk at all really from either a selfish point of view or thinking about family. Rather make the sacrifice and cut out the risk completely. Reinforced today reading what Trev and his missus have gone through for the past two months. Fuck that risk for any gig or anything.

Yeah splitting up, or having a last / re-union tour, are surely marketing masterstrokes!

Perfect example of a band breaking up and then people caring when they come back. Dismember did fuck all tickets when touring before they split hahaha

I never missed any of their Irish dates. Followed them round the country any time they were here.

Judging by the way new waves give rise to reintroduction of restrictions elsewhere then I don't think it's that simple. Ability to travel and convene may well be beyond our control. From 29th June travel restrictions within Ireland will be gone but this remains:

International travel
all non-essential overseas travel should be avoided
passengers arriving from overseas are expected to self-isolate for 14 days
passengers will also have to complete a form showing where they will self-isolate

This lightest restriction could easily apply when a new wave hits. It's certainly not a given that travel will be unrestricted at any particular time, and staying away from work for 2.5 weeks to attend a gig abroad might be a tad difficult! Could go either way really, que sera sera.
I'll let you know what the gig was like.

How did that work out for ya last week?   ;)

Will see about 2022 later in the year when things have settled down hopefully.
