Just because this is the general yank fuckery thread I'll put it here that Saint Fauci, Hero of the Plague Years really looked like he was struggling to follow the advice of his counsel and plead the fifth to every single question or accusation rather than defend himself at all. Must have been tough for a chap of such hubris. It was all only Rand Paul's toothless theatre show really though.

What has that got to do with what I wrote about Saint Fauci having to sit there and take it? I don't even think that half the things they were putting to him as questions were true but because he's taken the fifth amendment stance, he couldn't open his mouth to answer to anything.

Yeah, looks like it. I've added the following filters into u-block origin and it has gotten rid of the blur with barcode shite. It'll allow you to right-click and go full screen on videos and thereby access the controls, but there's no audio. Someone will figure it out soon, I'm sure

Supposedly he can't but he certainly did. Honestly I think nothing will come of it and I don't really think he's the dark overlord he's being made out to be but I do think he's a narcissist who revelled in the adulation at the time and suffers from some sort of god complex. At the same time, it's not like he did anything beyond advising at the end of the day.

I thought he was a prick from the off, which is well evidenced here on the board and the fawning over him sickened me but this does still have a witch hunt vibe to it all

Back to the original point I was making about him, it must have been seriously tough for a narcissist such as himself to simply repeat the line over and over, given the fact that at least some of the accusations or questions would not be fully accurate and probably misleading at times.

The diary (why the fuck would he keep that diary and how did it get out?) was fairly damning of his character but to me still doesn't show what the usual Twitter bluff is saying it does.

Ah ok, I haven't a clue. I know some will want to drag him across coals. I don't really see the point of the thing unless he was doing something corrupt. We can discuss the keep safe measures brought in but hindsight is 20/20. If he was acting in good faith, leave well enough alone would be my thinking.
