The drum off was built into an instrumental version of "Symptom of the Universe" so it wasn't the worst thing in the world.
Just been watching the stream and It's been a pretty fucking cool day to be honest.
Slayer on now as we're putting the children to bed. Reminds me of the old rock events like Live 8 or the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. I'm a sucker
for an aul music related event.
I wonder will Guns do a medley of Zero the Hero and Paradise City?   
The only odd things so far is it's so American centric and that there's been not a sniff of Ozzy or the lads. The crowd was dry as fuck til Pantera. They're really getting going for Slayer

Just back at the hotel meself. Slayer pretty much blew the place apart.

GNR covered Never Say Die which was a bit outside the box. Axl made a bit of a balls of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

Ozzy shook as hell. Managed OK given the circumstances, Bill Ward however probably should have just done one song. Probably would have been better to mix in some of the supergroup stuff with the Sabbath set. I hope Nuno Bettencourt gets a few bob for the shift he put in during them bits.

Metal Hammer have been posting clips online throughout the day.The crowd seems lifeless but it's probably difficult to get in to a gig when the bands are doing 15 minute sets.

And there's probably a rake of " I love the rock I do" at it.


And bands are definitely getting the fees paid. That many egos not to mention management.

Was a very enjoyable day overall. Ozzy sang much better than I expected, considering the state he's in.
Tool were excellent...so were slayer.enjoyed the supergroups.Nuno was shit hot all day.
