Now that's more like it. But to answer your question, it's because people keep paying it pure and simple.
€150 is my max, I don't care who the cunt is.

Quote from: Bürggermeister on February 12, 2025, 03:05:13 PMJust reading on another forum, a lad was in the queue for 90 minutes for presale tickets this morning, all that was left was "Ultimate side stage experience" tickets at £2932.50... each :abbath:
It looked like that but if you kept refreshing the page after you got in, random seats would pop up. None of them cheap mind you.

I got 2 on Tuesday with a hotel package, wasn't cheap but overall very little more than people were paying for tickets alone. I managed to get 2 more for my Dad in the Download presale yesterday but when I went to checkout it must have cross referenced phone numbers to the other account I used and failed to checkout saying I had already bought the maximum amount of tickets for the event.

Don't have time to get to many gigs, just nice to say you were at this, hopefully

If it's not a cheeky question what did that skin you?
€1700 for 2 decent enough seated tickets & 2 nights in a 4 star in Birmingham.

Not cheap but people have given that and more for tickets alone.

You only live once and there's some memories you just can't put a price on, so enjoy it!👌

That brought me back, I was at that gig in McGonagles, can't recall much about it, it's a while ago, except that I remember thinking at the time that it was a small place and was jammed. I'm fairly sure it's the Sat one I was at.

Must look to see if the setlist is on setlist.com, see what I heard, wonder if setlist.com entries for that long ago are reliable?

I have a tape of one of the nights somewhere. Party With the Animals was the only new tune on it, nothing from No Rest, Just Shot in the Dark from Ultimate Sin, Mike Inez's first gigs with Ozzy. I had many a night in McGonagles and have no doubt both nights were considerably oversold, they were dangerously overcrowded  :abbath:  :abbath:

As long as people continue to view celeb experiences like this we'll never see prices come back down. I'm genuinely amazed how people justify it whether it's based on it being his last show or the amount of other big names involved.
Despite touring costs going up, there's still none of the bands on this bill unable to sustain their millionaire lifestyles.

Cripple Ozzy isn't how I want to remember him, that's for sure.

Pretty much what a lot of people were expecting, but still very much on point for the Osbournes to announce this after tickets are sold out

If I was young and hadn't seen loads of those bands on the bill I'd pay alright.A lot of Iconic bands that are still fairly decent live.

Right now all that would interest me would be Alice in Chains and Gojira (at a push).

I never had any interest in BS or Ozzy, when he pulled out of the Ozzfest that time in Punchestown I wasn't bothered. We were in the queue when the announcement was made, most didn't give a fuck.A bus load of old cunts from Freds in Cork fucked off alright 😅

Bits and pieces will consist of him singing out of tune or making no sound at all while clapping like a seal, that's no way to bow out. Take a lead from Glenn Tipton and leave the stage gracefully.

I was at that too,  hungover to fuck from a session the night before and well on it again by the time I arrived at the venue. Didn't care that Ozzy pulled out at the time but now I'm pissed off that I've never caught him or Sabbath live. Sherlukkitsezyou.

Sharon will wheel him on with a tambourine glued to his hands.

I've tried to see Ozzy twice and both times the gigs were cancelled, wasn't meant to be!!

Same!
Ozzfest, the quad bike shit show that got postponed and eventually cancelled.
And was there another one after that the bailed on as well.

He totally fucked his Irish fans over.

I saw Sabbath at Hellfest a few months before the Dublin gig. The Dublin gig was good but they were lethal at Hellfest. Sound was killer at that gig. Zero interest in this gig as I've seen everyone at it countless times and you'd get to a fest cheaper than this 1 dayer.

Same. Have seen Ozzy, Sabbath with Ozzy, and Heaven & Hell. All great performances, Sabbath on the God Is Dead tour especially. If anything Ozzy was on better form at that than when I saw him 10 years earlier with Zakk & Co. Doubt if that trend will continue for this though haha
