Will this be Ozzy sitting on a throne for the whole show like FR Jack as Elvis

Ozzy will be sitting backstage for most of the show with Bill who, let's not forget, couldn't hold a tune together 13 years ago, according to the band themselves. It's going to be Iommi, Butler, Bordin and a succession of guest singers for the most part, before the two lads are wheeled on at the end for a cameo appearance.

Ozzy is wheelchair bound and wasn't even able to join Tony for the press video. He'll do 2 songs max with each outfit (Paranoid and Black Sabbath and perhaps Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley) and the rest will be the guest slots.

People in general lap this shit up nowadays with guest bands almost like fantasy football although it probably was conceived as far back as the Freddy Mercury Tribute, seeing bands playing other bands material and mixing up singers. All you have to do is look at the amount of content online of "if Hetfield sang in Sabbath" or what an Alice in Chains song in the style of Type O Negative would be like. People don't give a fuck about the bands per se as much as the spectacle of the event.

The dynamic pricing is the other sign of that since people buy completely into the hype that they're missing out and won't give a thought to parting with 400 quid per ticket. It's the natural commercial peak of how nostalgia has been marketed.

As a side note, I'd love to have seen the tantrum Mustaine threw when he found out Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax were all on the bill and he wasn't

Yea I'll give this a skip, plenty gigs on this year that will be far better, it will be all online anyway at some stage. Prices are ridiculous too.

I thought it might be a gig/festival sorta hybrid thing too, granted dunno how you'd work that in a venue like VP, but an all-day concert like that would seem very wooden to me. I paid less for a weekend ticket for Hellfest 2014 - not a lifetime ago - where Sabbath headlined one of the nights, than the cheapest ticket there.

I think Dave is too busy camped outside the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame telling everyone he's really in there :)

Yer all a bunch of dullards, it'll be a cracking day out, and who really cares if Oz is there or not 😂

I find it a bit strange that this reunion with Bill has seemingly come out of nowhere.

What are the chances old Oz recently got told that he doesnt have long to live, and wants to do 1 more show with Bill?

I'm fairly positive usually but this isn't looking very good for what you pay!

Really though who the fuck wants to see Ozzy Osbourne wheeled out to warble out a few songs though through autotune?

Seeing as how there appears to be a solo career setlist also, will Ozzy do songs from 'The Ultimate Sin' ? I should hope so.

Jake E Lee is on the bill so you'd expect they might. However, he got his writing credits on The Ultimate Sin so they'll probably only play stuff off Bark At The Moon.

Yeah, I think she and Ozz are that cunty.

Paying the most to see Ozzy perform at his least  :-X

They'll insist on playing Shot In The Dark after poor Jake was actually shot.... in the dark
