Killer review of our 7" EP on Necrosphere Webzine: http://necrosphere.tode.cz/recnecromaniac2.html

Here's a rough translation using Google for non Slovak speakers:

"Still and still you can look for rests from the past, I have listened to so many things that sometimes I lose track and forget about some recordings. Among the great pieces from last year, which I have not mentioned yet, is definitely the EP "Subterranean Death Rising" from the British outcasts NECROMANIAC. The band is still relatively unknown, so we don't mind at all, quite the opposite. So far, they only had the demo "Morbid Metal" from 2015 outside. In the band you can find, for example, the bassist The One, who also works in Macabre Omen, Satanic Supplicia, The One and the like. Three other souls remain: Sadistik Fornicator on guitar, V. Pestilencia drums and C. Howler on vocals. As the name of the demo suggests, the term Morbid Metal is ideal for the band. Of course, in terms of clarity, this is a disgusting mix between Thrash / Black and Death Metal, based mainly on the late 80's and early 90's. I don't think I'll be far from the truth when I mention names like Sepultura (of course I only mean their earliest things), Sarcofago, Vulcano, Kreator, Posion, Necrovore and so on. Similar music is made by the current generation, which is boxed as Metal of Death and I mean bands like Degial, Invidious, Obscure Burial, Vorum, or the already defunct Repugnant. Bands of this style have always amused me and will amuse me, because they always come with as disgusting a mass of noise, insanity, monstrosity and pure blasphemy as possible. NECROMANIAC doesn't deal with anything, even though the EP contains only two songs and you only enjoy over 12 minutes of music, the band will overwhelm you with a monstrous ride into a cave system into the depths of the earth, where you sink headlong into a disgusting cesspool, stinking, poisonous, rotting. Their music literally haunts and frightens, the riffs show the faces of undead spirits, the tempos show necromantic harassment and the vocals spark dangerous incantations. It doesn't really make much sense to describe their music in any detail, because such a stinking will still be enjoyed only by certain people who are related to a similar haunting plague. If you listen more closely to the harmonies of both songs, you will notice only the restlessness, damnation and despair of eternity. You need to have something special in you for such music, which may not have more than three-quarters of the metal musicians by far. In order for a composer to get to the stage of such monstrous music, he must have studied literature from Lovecraft, through magic books, to the experience of necromancy and a pure interest in the cult of death. They all make it clear from their production, it's as if you were trying to somehow cover the smell of decaying carcass behind the door, but the further I hear it, the more I feel an authentic understanding of Metal of Death in its pure essence, I can't help but overhear. The songs are well composed so that the composition does not shine unnecessarily here and it does not look very musical, everything is covered with savagery and inhumanity. I find almost no boring or empty riffs here, the songs provoke and shock, they are dangerous and treacherous. From the many riffs, the influence of the early Morbid Angel from the period of "Abominations of Desolation" can be felt quite well, because they also came from similar bands. However, the songs do not only twist at high speeds, you will also enjoy retarders, where the atmosphere plays even more cruelly with your feelings and the key morbid harmonies jewel this terror with an even denser essence of misery. It is also worth mentioning the guitar solos, which seemed to generally copy some horror scales, here only clumps of darkness and bizarreness. This EP will withstand a lot of listening, I can personally shoot it ten times in a row. So if you like Metal Death and you are also a fan of the old morbid Metal of the old days, when the boxes were not so much taken care of, you have won. Famous and menacing!"

Rehearsals are ongoing for a 2022 recording but given the current state of vinyl production we cannot specify a release date yet. O U T - N O W ! ! !

INVICTUS PRODUCTIONS is proud to reissue the debut demo of the UK's NECROMANIAC, Morbid Metal, on cassette tape format.

Formed in 2011, London's Necromaniac at last emerged from the slime of time eternal in 2015 with the five-song Morbid Metal demo. With members possessing a wealth of underground experience spanning the last couple decades - not to mention that those members hail from such countries as Spain, Greece, Poland, and most recently Sweden, altogether adding a more exotic flavor elusive to most UK bands - it's not surprising that the band's first recording was such a firestorm of ancient energy. Very much "old" but very much far from trite "retro" posturing, Morbid Metal was - and still is - everything its title promises, whipping forth a fury faintly/variously reminiscent of classic Nifelheim, Germany's Poison, Hungary's Tormentor, Root, and Invictus alumni Vomitor. Hideous, haunting, and most definitely fucking METAL!

As such, Necromaniac will be delivering their debut album through Invictus in the coming year, and this new edition of Morbid Metal serves as a (re)introduction to their sinister ways.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
