Hey Liam do ye know anything of times for this? I was toying with the idea of heading over for the TI set and fucking off home to ring in the new year with the family

Not a clue. TI will be on first obviously but I dont know the door times or set times yet.

What is the story with the lad in the denim jacket? Is he gone out of UOR or what?

He wasn't with them at the last gig and no sign of him in recent photos so I would guess so.

Gig Related:  This will be our (Third Island) first show with our new drummer, drum machine has been retired.  Hopefully will see a few of ye at it if ye live in the area!

Fucking pussies retiring the drum machine. I hope ye have taken the cymbals off the kit at the very least.

When ye played the metalfest ye were the only band where you could hear the music instead of the KSHHHH KKSSSSHHH KSHHHH of the cymbals.

The absolute plague of small gigs. Can they not be dampened in some way? That is a serious question by the way

Yeah you can get things like this but I don't know how well they'd fare at a metal gig.  Don't know a heap about drums but there's likely a few ways of dampening them.  Also depends on the venue - did notice they were quite loud at the metalfest before but have seen countless bands in the Kasbah in Limerick and never had the head blown off me from them.

True enough I didn't think it was that bad at all in the kasbah in fairness.

I just wish everyone would be a bit more GODFLESH

Also those quiet cymbals are interesting looking

 there wasn't really any cymbals at all, the tinnitus is just gone that bad

Monday night lads.  Will update with times soon.  Free in if any of ye are around Nenagh!
