This anyone's jam, I do wonder if there is much of an appetite in Ireland for Stoner Rock and he's playing only days before slomosa play. I'm on the fence on it, be fairly handy as I'm in work that day and it's only up the road

I saw Brant Bjork play at several Desertfests in Berlin, can't say that I'd bother my hole travelling to Dublin mid-week for him.

To your point about Ireland's appetite for stoner rock; you're probably right - it's nowhere near as big as in continental Europe. Unless the band is huge (in relative terms - Clutch or Orange Goblin for example) then they'll usually bypass Ireland or, in most cases, just play Dublin.

I'm not saying that we never get stoner gigs here but we definitely don't get that many. Sleep have been dragging their asses around the US and Europe since they reformed but they've only played in Dublin once - in 2012.

I spoke to Ben from Elder in Munich a while back and he told me that they've never played Ireland even though they want to but they can't make it work financially. He said a few promoters have contacted them but it always fell apart.

Interesting insight, l do see sponsored ads going around for this gig and feel like it's maybe not doing the numbers, feels a good time of year for a gig with getting back on the pints around then.

I'd say belfast will sell better then dublin, wonder if slomosa being 2 days after if they'll eat each other's tickets a bit
