I've seen Therapy? a shit load of times and love Troublegum but the question is would I pay €40 to see them in the Olympic..

Forty quid isn't bad as it goes. I could see myself heading to this. Only saw em the once so why not

I've seen them a couple of times (once acoustic) and they were excellent both times. I'm done with gigs TBH or I might have gone to this alright. There's a day off between the Irish dates so you never know, might be a Limerick or Galway date yet.

No word of them doing the album in full to mark the anniversary but they've done it before I suppose, and maybe that trend has worn out.

They always do a great show, just think the Olmypia is such a hit and miss venue that I can't see myself shelling out for it. The smaller the venue the better with those lads in my opinion. The old pub gig days are long behind them but they've killed it in Vicar St, Button Factory and Whelans etc

Never seen therapy, and that's one of my desert island albums. Done the leaving cert the year it came out and had this on repeat. Needless to say that year I ended up on the scratcher.
Btw I hate the olympia.

Any idea of stage times in the Olympia?

I assume Therapy? will be on around 9pm-ish

This was a good gig - obviously a Troublegum show but also lots of B-Sides from the era, and earlier material too. It was cool to focus on that era without some of the other set staples from later material.

I've been to plenty of T? shows, and I can't remember any being anything but solid. Good sized crowd - Therapy? fans getting as old as fuck (myself included).

Sound was ok - I think the Olympia is just shite for standing as soon as you're under the low ceiling, better to be up front or even in the first few rows of the circle.

Anyway, I wonder if they'll do anything for Infernal Love's anniversary in a few years. Probably not as they'd need to shell out for a cellist and I don't think it would be as much of a draw as for this one. They headlined the Point when they were touring that one back in the day.

They did an internal love set I think for the 20th anniversary, 2 shows in the button factory in Dublin. It was very good, they didn't bother with a cellist.

If they do something for the anniversary of Infernal Love I will be the first in line. It's my favourite of theirs by a distance.

Had a couple of cans with them once and said basically that and they seemed unimpressed with that when I told them. But like come on, it's a serious album

Infernal love is a very good album.misery, bowels of love, jude the obscene are all classics.i'd definitely go to ab anniversary show.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them do infernal love in it's entirety twice. Think Sonisohere 2014 was one and another at the old Spring and airbrake.
