UK Deathfest 2022

Anyone heading over for this? wanna head to a festival this year and this is looking good

Yea, can't wait now. So many great bands to tick off the bucket list there  wish we could get something like this on these fair shores

A buddy of mine is heading to this from Jersey. I was thinking about it the other week, but it's a toss up now that I have Cerebral Rot tour dates to investigate first. It's one or the other, but I'd be leaning for a short trip and 1 gig rather than an endurance test. Sure would love to see Autopsy though...

Quirkey, come to Tones of Decay in Prague!! Also check yer pms

Its been a while since i've been to a 3 day fest so if i get a nice comfy bed should be grand. Just checked out that tones of decay line, looks great also and prague is class

Last Deathfest in Europe ever. Cant wait for this one.

Looking forward to this now myself. Eventually made the decision and booked my flights and weekend ticket yesterday. Busy playlist for the next fortnight...

Not long now!  :abbath:

Malco and Necro Red, there's 5 of us from Cork who will be over there. If ye're travelling on yere own or whatever feel free to drop us a PM if ye want to meet up over for scoops.

<< queue Inbetweeners "ooo friends" joke ☺️ >>

shit, only seen this now. I was with the missus, but would have met up with ye and all.

Not to worry lad, I trust ye enjoyed it anyway. We got a good gang together in the end, met another Cork head in the airport, and met up with others from Jersey, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Wales, and bumped into some of the usual Irish heads.

That was one seriously enjoyable weekend all told. It started off on a high note with Immolation being the soundest blokes around yet again by hamming it up for a photo for my daughter.

Sound in the main venue was generally poor for a fair few bands the first day, sound in the Underworld was always spot on, and the Black Heart was likely to deafen anyone without ear plugs (typically 112db).

The local metal pub The Devonshire Arms was some insane craic anytime we got there after gigs finished. Only problem was that it closed at midnight on the Sunday when the place was just lifting off.

Yea, absolutely brilliant weekend. I had my ear plugs so the blackheart was OK for me when I seen Desecration at the end of the fest. One would hope for something like this here in Ireland. I mean, if Behemoth and Carcass sold out then why wouldn't it work? Really chuffed I finally got to see Autopsy and Massacre who were both great! Met the Bassist from Autopsy who was a gent too. Great stuff
