Funny enough, several years ago at The Siege I was standing there between bands and slightly stumbled into someone in front of me. I shook his hand and apologised and that was the height of it... until a bouncer came running in out of nowhere, grabbed me and fucked me out! I was a bit rubbery no doubt- it had been a long day's boozing- but I was in no way aggressive, I wasn't moshing or acting the maggot at all. The reason given was that the bouncer had his eye on me for ages and thought I was too drunk! He refused to let me back in. I think that was total bullshit. Fair enough if I had been acting the bollocks or falling about the place, neither of which was the case. I had one minor stumble. Actually, I think he first started accusing me of head-butting the guy in front of me, haha. After that "misunderstanding " was cleared up he said he had his eye on me so I think he just didn't like the look of me. And me half pikey. Mad craic...

I'm Ciaran - one half of bad rep. We did in fact get sued for someone getting injured at a siege. It's no secret that it almost ended our ability to run the fest, and in fact shows in general. It's all been sorted now and while headbanging and a bit of light moshing is cool. Heavy moshing and stage diving is an offence that will get you a caution first and ejected upon repeat offenses. Thing is - this is actually the case in every single venue in the country. Heavy moshing and stage diving is banned everywhere and a grounds for being thrown out.

There was one lad I saw get several cautions from security - who I fully stand by btw, we're blessed to have the most patient and understanding security here - who also fought our corner tooth and nail during the times we nearly had to call it quits here over the lawsuit.

If that was you who they said it to then you fully deserved to be ejected. The offender I saw got asked to calm down after climbing between the center monitors on the stage- causing the bands monitors to cut out. They were asked to calm down and both myself and the band alerted security to the issue. They were given another chance to chill the fuck out by our head of security and they proceeded to start getting mouthy with him. I witnessed this myself and if that was you- I'm sorry but you should have been escorted out long before they did it.

It's a gig. If you're interfering with the running of the show and other punters enjoyment of the show then you're gonna get at least a caution.

Well Ciaran. Yep I'm some of that lad "climbing between the center monitors".I was more going for the hugging the speaker and headbang in the middle gap vibe, and upon a lurch forward moved the monitors. I strongly apologise to any musician, punter or bouncer this may have affected in any way, the last thing intended was any kind of interference.
If you witnessed anyone getting mouthy you've the wrong lad here.
Finally I understand been a promoter brings its own pressures, and touching the gear of any band is a big no no,but was not getting back in after not been thrown out here a fair reflection

I can weigh in here and say that I went outside also for breath of air, the bouncer said I stumbled and refused to let me in again. I'd had a few drinks but come on its a pub after all.
Then after pleading with him he said okay but then stopped me as I went back in. As if he was playing with me, I definitely wasn't after causing any hassle to anyone or anything inside. As Eoin Mclove said I think he just didn't like the look of me or something but at least he had his little power trip.
Surely a small stumble is not grounds for refusing entry? Dolan's needs to sort out their staff.
He ruined the night for me, so disappointing when you've paid to attend a gig.
