I'm sympathetic to their cause, but that's easy to say not living in Dublin. The government could maintain what they were previously reaping and using the significant increase in Vat and excise to offset the increase in the cost of fuel. If Haulage costs go up, everything will go up. Government do need to act.

I agree, they should do something. But I dunno, firstly the dail isn't sitting again until next week and they could likely make their grievances known around the various embassies of the root cause of the issue. But sure, what do I know! Im just pissed off at everyone now

The protest is about the Irish Governments refusal once again to help the people of the country during a crises. They claimed they don't have any money to help us yet Zelenskyy got another 40 million of tax payers money from Helen McEntee last week.

So it's a protest looking for handouts..?

I'm not against support going to Ukraine. I think the government could do a bit to reduce costs of living, though. Over here the cost of fuel has been brought down a bit. It's still high, but better than nothing. That said, we'll pay for it somewhere else because that's always how it goes, but if the government can help people through a tight spot then it needs to be done. And even typing that I'm thinking about the excise tax and other taxes that get heaped on us daily... it's tough in the middle.

They're protesting for FFG to act like a left-wing government, but the majority of them have their heads stuffed with propaganda about what left-wing politics even is. It's this, what Spain's left-wing government did spontaneously almost three weeks ago:

Maybe think about it next election lads!

I'd sooner willfully subject myself to cock and ball torture than vote FFG

Im hoping this doesnt interfere with me again today. I have to drive from Galway to Cabra for band practice as we're booked in to record in a few weeks. Any semblance of support for em will be out the window if I can't make it to rehearsal today  ;D

Was due a phone upgrade for months now but just kept putting it off out of laziness / comfort with the way the phone was set up.  It was giving me a bit of grief but nothing I was worried about.  Yesterday it suddenly got stuck in a boot loop.  7 hours of attempted fixes and absolutely nothing worked.  Very likely have lost about 3 years of photos, files.  What a fuckin pain.  Completely my own fault too in every respect.

I usually buy a 24 pack of bog roll because it's handy and usually cheaper.

Would almost go into the supermarket with a sign stating this and no, I'm not being a cunt about wiping my arse while you can't.

That said, shout out to Mooncat (I think!) in Canada - arse wiping there just got slightly less achievable with this lark!

24 is grand, but this is the equivalent of loading the trolley up with as much as it can hold.

Yeah saw that myself. Guy filling his range rover plus two 25 litre containers. Absolute bellends.  :eyeroll:
