They were originally called Angst Fabrik, must have decided that was a bit on the nose.

While I'm guilty of this in my own right, notably by being somewhat hopeful that Towards The Sinister might prove to capture some of the essence of early MDB- the darkness and grit which was lost along the way, I find something vaguely desperate and depressing in a lot of these kinds of quasi- reunions. Wouldn't it be interesting if the two boys came up with a whole new take on the style and sound that we know them for?  But let's be honest- what are the chances! And I suppose that misses the point of the exercise, but really... will this just become FF vs. FF2??

They already tried it with that Arkaea album a few years ago, and that was crap. I can't see this being much cop but given how bad that new 'Fear Factory' song is, could it be much worse?

You didn't miss much. See also: Divine Heresy, Dino's FF clone when he was out of the band.

Just listened to a couple of tracks from the Arkaea album there and it's awful stuff. I know it's easy to put the boot in to things but it was especially shit as things go. I wouldn't hold out much hope for Machines of Hate

No. As Eoin McLove said above it would be interesting if they did something different, even within the general area of FF but given the band name(s) they've chosen, I don't see that happening.

I have it on there. It's absolutely grand...
Just checked, it was released in 2009 and I'm sure I've played it a couple of times before.

well, that lineup wrote Archetype, and if they continued down that road I would be very happy. I didn't care for Transgression all that well bar a few tracks on it. If they got Burton and got some good songs together it would be cool, all the more if they did manage to try something a bit different that works.

Belfast was great, good turnout and the bands all delivered
Crystal Lake stood out as crazy mfs. Fear Factory had the place jumping, worth a Tuesday night trek to it
