Yep. Both played Killtown last night. Impetuous Ritual were lethal.

Doors 7.30 (please note new door time)
Impetuous Ritual 8.15
Portal 9.30
(subject to change)

Thought this was top class.

Somehow got Impetuous Ritual and Imperial Triumphant mixed up for the last five months and was a bit miffed when IT definitely weren't in stage at 815   Was upstairs and sound started shite but all locked in a few songs in. Relentless stuff.

Portal were amazing. Felt less "noisy" live than it can do sometimes on record. Haven't kept up with them really since Vexavoid, but thought everything really just made sense as a total package live. The fret-stretching going on was something else. At 5pm yesterday I'd have happily, happily skipped this, really wasn't holed but delighted I drove up.

Wasn't expecting to see a mosh pit.

They share members with Portal, also have a crazy unique sound while at the same time sounding nothing like Portal at all. You should check out the albums.

Really enjoyed it. It's almost starting to feel like a come down now given how much I was looking forward to it and now it's done and gone. Impetuous Ritual were great but the sound was very bad. I know the 1st 3 albums inside out. I listed to the 4th a lot when it came out and also in the run up to these shows. The only song I could make out of the entire set was Convoluting. I do remember them being slightly better the last time they played here they didn't seem as crazy this time maybe that's down to some of the original members having left.

Portal were amazing and the sound was very good (I was expecting the opposite IR to sound great and Portal to sound bad) I was happy as I have seen a lot of reports from the other shows about the sound being awful for Portal. Great setlist even though they skipped Illoomorpheme. The Curators new head dress is great and definitely the best he has had.

It nearly fell off at one stage and the bald lad had to come out to fix it for him. It was funny seeing Chris walk into the microphone when he came out on stage. The merch was a bit disappointing as in they didn't have enough stuff only 2 shirts for each band but I believe everything has been selling out and then having to be restocked a few times already. No red IR shirt  >:(

Great to see the place packed and that must have been one of the best turnouts of the tour as I read the German date had less then 100 people show up. I would love to do it all over again today and hopefully it's not the last time we see them. I hope they are working on a new album.

I think this head dress is the worst one he's had. Enjoyed the gig. Well Portal. Couldn't make head nor tail of the bit of IR I saw
