6mins of the most casual virtuosity I think I've ever seen. Not all blazing licks, but just a general complete mastery of the guitar the likes of which I've never seen in anyone else (bar maybe Tommy Emmanuel). The fact he's just pulling all this out of his ass on the fly is mind-blowing.

If you're into this check out his album Unfinished Business. Hard to find but Tidal randomly has it. If you can't get hold of it then check out 88 Elmira Street, which seems to be available in all the usual places.

Haven't listened yet but the man's name is literally "gatt on", he's already a legend

Incredible player. Thought there was a video of him with Brent Mason but couldn't find it anyway...

I don't know the fella or his catalogue, and that's very tasty playing, but I've seen loadsa tasty players who can't write a decent song. I wouldn't listen to 45mins of that, for example.

I have a mate who plays bass like that and it's boring after 20 minutes

But saying that he's a serious player to be fair to him

Like an extended blues number with lovely discordant riffage. What's not to like.

That bit doesn't do too much for me, but I'm aware that he was supposed to be a wizard at any genre he tried.

Allan Holdsworth all the way for me as best player ever.

Nifty player but after ten seconds I had had enough
