I just blindly ordered a copy of Dreams of Lilith by Shadowseeds today. I had liked it on YouTube three years ago and commented that I would have to grab a copy, then promptly forgot it existed until today when the person who posted it up 'liked' my comment  In the spirit of adventure (foolhardiness) I nabbed a CD on Discogs before even hitting play. I have been listening to it the past half hour and I think it sounds mostly pretty damn good. Riffwise it shifts between Pentagram style occult doom and something more like black metal, but the vocals are totally gothic in delivery. A messy, confused combination of things that works in spite of itself. Not all of it is brilliant, but I'm not regretting the purchase. I can imagine this hitting the spot when the mood takes me to put on Sadness or Decoryah. They inhabit a similar sort of stylistic no man's land (dark metal?) which works for me.
