October 12th marks the release of the Gohr Al Krohn Demo - La Cour De Lucifer

A few words from Valnoir on the eve of the release:

In 1999, after a few band experiences of, let's say, questionable quality, I decided, shortly after acquiring my first guitar, to embark on creating my own solo Black Metal project.

Shortly after I began "writing," and I dove straight into the rough recording of the first and only demo of Gohr Al Krohn, titled 'La cour de Lucifer.'

It was a time for spontaneity, more than for high quality production standards. I had a room, a primitive computer, an old multi-effects pedal, a few cables, and that was it. When I say that was it, I mean I didn't even have a microphone—every vocal was recorded by screaming into old headphones. The pedal was plugged directly into the computer.

My guitar skills were practically nonexistent, but I didn't care at all, as the underground scene gave this illusion that bad musicians could create masterpieces. So I released, without any shame, this youthful work, which was honestly not great, but sincere.

It was only distributed to my close circle, one review in Metallian, and that was the end of it.

25 years later, the irish label @unveiledindeath decided to re-release this record, giving me the opportunity to announce that I am working on new compositions, and an EP should be released within a year

This sounds good to me. I love the prominent bass- such a weird tone but it adds a lot.

Couldn't be happier with how this came out. Looking forward to seeing what he comes up with on the EP. Two (possibly three) more releases before the end of the year and then I'll slow the pace a bit. I have a band in the pipeline that I want to work with over the longer term.
