I think that the debut record is still a post-punk beaut.

Heard "Big" for the first time in a taxi Christmas week 2018 - on the way to a piss-up. Driver asked if he should change it, I told him to turn it up. Had to listen to the playback of a 2FM (ugh) show the next day to figure out what it was.

Got the album on the day of release. Didn't disappoint full energy and ideas. Some very Fugazi-like ("Red Medicine/End Hits" era) guitar work in parts.

People complain about the accent thing. I get it, I doubt that's how Grian Chatten sounds when speaks to his mam when he goes home for dinner. A "lace curtain" to quote Dignam from "The Departed".

Haven't listened to the two later albums half as much and the new single sounds shit to my ears.

Hurricane Laughter sounds exactly like the type of thing I heard in an art gallery years ago with a lad "scratching" on his MacBook while drinking cans of Hein-o and then telling people he didn't believe in CDs as a medium to sell his music on.

Just with guitars.

New song "Favourite " out this week. Completely different to Starburster but very good pop tune.
