Microsoft decided to delete 2 accounts yesterday that are used for the kids' XBox, with one of them having an active subscription. They're "confirmed" the deletions despite not being requested or warned in advance. I'm hoping someone here might have an insight on resolving things as after 4hrs online on the XBox and Microsoft / Outlook sites* with their "help" and "contact" sections I'm fit to kill Bill Gates... (*at least I got sorted with Epic Games which seems to relate to the fact MS deleted the associated XBox account first).

One of the deleted accounts is my wife's used for the Ultimate Game Pass subscription, and one was used to set up a profile that's linked to my address. We got mails from the MS Account Team (aka Shower of Cunts) with a security "confirmation" from account protection. e.g.

Turns out herself got the same mail a few hours earlier for her account. There was no request made by anyone so the "confirmation" is baffling. We got no warning and no option to reinstate, fait accompli.

So trawling through their websites for FAQ and using the AI bots, I couldn't get any further. The main suggestion being trying to log in again and follow a recovery step, while online you can submit a form to recover the account. Of course in every event they no longer recognise the account so you can't actually start the process.

And of course if you still need help after those wind-up's don't despair, "we can be contacted by phone or live chat", and provide times for same. But they're having a laugh as there's no links but you will find this elsewhere - "Trying to contact us? We're experiencing heavy chat volumes at the moment. Thanks for your patience while we work through it."
That could be the scenario for 5 years or whatever as no start or finish date indicated.

You get another chance on a pop-up window but the options are pre-determined and can't select "other" to describe the actual issue or you're stopped in your tracks yet again.

Anyone ever come across this bullshit? How can it be resolved?? Head burst at this stage, so sincere thanks to anyone that can help, ugh...

Xbox support are brilliant at the " oh you are so important and we are so sorry and all hail everyone" type shit whilst doing fuck all.
There has been a bug for weeks now where it won't let the kids sign in to the account.
Numerous mails back and forth, loads of advice for fixing but permanent solution.
