Well worth the money tonight. Played really well and they came across like a good bunch.
They support wasn't really my thing.
I have to say it was one of the loudest gigs I've ever been at.
My ears are ringing solid.
Louder than Ben Frost and that fucker came with a warning.

Unbelievable show in Cork tonight. First gig for me since Testament in March '20. Delighted to say it was brilliant. Good turnout given a Tuesday and the bank holiday coming up too.

Ha, arrived just as the support were ending and I was sorting my earplugs in the stairwell, phew! I got my Flare earplugs just over 2 years ago so it was a long time coming to check them out and it seems they were well needed then! 😀

It was great to catch a gig again, I really enjoyed the performance of Unto Others,. First thought was that i forgot how seizure-inducing light shows could be and that warnings should be issued for those returning to gigs again after so long away!! 😅

Maybe it's just me, but I get a good bang off Paradise Lost, The Cure, slower Pantera stuff, and Chorus of Ruin mixed in - fairly varied to say the least!

Good interaction from the band as well, I missed that. There was one joke I missed due to the earplugs, seemed to be the best one? Can't remember the gist at this stage... Ah well, great to see folks giving it socks up the front on a Tuesday night - but I didn't miss lads taking their tops off and throwing sweating shapes around the place 😄 Maybe 40-50 there at most I guess. Roll on July for the fest and October for Therapy?  :abbath:

I picked up Strength - probably the first Roadrunner Records buy since 2008 with Slipknot's All Hope is Lost. Long gone are the days of it being a label of serious interest and anticipation in the early 90's... Hopefully it means the same for others with different tastes these days for those not stuck in a time warp 😊

Good description of the mix of influences there.
It really was a great gig and had whetted the appetite for more.
As juvenile as it sounds hearing double kick drums and the “uurgh” shouts gave me goosebumps after the long break from gigs.

Yah it was a great gig, really fun live band and the sound was great. Cyprus avenue is a great venue to have in the city.

Cork show last night was really good...First time in done up Cyprus ave and very impressed..hopefully lots more metal to come down leeside

I see Strength II is coming out on Friday in the US for record store day. They're 6 tracks (22 minutes) they had planned on including previously but the label made them trim it as they wanted to fit things on to one vinyl. Looking forward to hearing this  :abbath:
