Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen, this has potential .

We are seeking a frontman or frontwoman, should anyone know any strong vocalists bet into 70's/80's metal  :abbath:.

Based in Dublin.

The Sciences was where they should have ended things even with Pike still in the band, which I'd imagine is the issue, High on Fire are pretty successful, Om aren't nearly on the same level.

I believe the main venue is the one downstairs entered from the side lane.

I saw that earlier, not a band I've delved into properly, though last year I did pick up a copy of a Rise Above doom comp from the early 90s with Revelation, Cathedral, Solitude Aeternus etc.

Must check out the albums.

Maybe it's a generational thing, but I had no idea he was this famous, like I knew of him (and yes, I heard stuff about his fondness for young women), but without getting further into than that, I'm baffled by the level of outpour, I'd have thought of him as some sort of Aslan level artist, and yet he has legitimate worldwide superstars all paying respect, even Obama's at it.

I get it's my ignorance, I only know him as the guitarist from the Commitments (never watched Once), but it does make you wonder how his music didn't crack the zeitgeist in the same way his apparent peers have, was he just a really good networker?

Oop, that previous news was seemingly an omen...Laroque is out, and Gus G is in.

Would be very surprised at this stage if any KD album actually comes out.

Pop country is hip-hop for people who are afraid of black people - Steve Earle.

Yeah definitely seems like some of those guitar and drum breaks would/should have instead been some crazy weird country lick.

The melo-black thing sounded pretty cool until they added the 'woahs' and it all got very Kerrang metal from there.

In other news, I saw a thing on Instagram earlier with details of the new album, not sure how legit it was and I can't find it but apparently there's a load of guest appearances including Geezer Butler, Josh Homme, Neil Fallon, Joe Duplantier etc.

It seemed legit/like a leaked press release.

Watched Hokum last night, new Irish horror film, there's parts that are genuinely amazing and some parts that don't quite land, but a fun watch overall.

So the orange man called Fifa and got the USA's strikers ban rescinded after he was sent off last game.

What planet are we even living on anymore .

Quote from: Maggot Colony on June 30, 2026, 09:29:16 AMI want to replace my copies of Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction but all that's available is the cunting 2004 versions where Mustaine decided to butcher the original mixes.
On vinyl? They just did a run of the OG Countdown and Youthanasia mixes, I got mine from Sentinel Records. They also did RIP last year but that might be harder to find by now.

Alrite, controversial opinion, Bruce Dickinson, arguably the GOAT, can't fault him musically... he's nearly got it all...except he's just not cool, is he?

Few beers deep blasting some Maiden bootlegs from the 80s and his between song banter is tragic, "I don't know anything about football but I'm going to spend every song break talking about football to sound working class".

Now Dianno...he was fucking cool. I'll leave the hall.
