Might be one for the controversial opinions thread but I've always thought Lars seemed the soundest.

First two Autopsy are up there with my favourite DM albums ever and I will never listen to that record based solely on the album cover.
Could be as good as Mental Funeral for all I know and I wouldn't bother.

So they have a new guitarist for their current tour, a guy called Nick Johnston, unusual choice as he seems to come from the more Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai etc side of things. Had a listen to a few tunes from the below gig, they seem much tighter than they have with Hinds in recent years, but the leads are very different.

Saw that the other day, surprised at the song choice but Duff's vocals are poor tbf.

Iommi has to get Tony Martin or someone back for a new album now, can't go to the grave with his last recorded output being with Robbie Williams, them's the rules.

Got stuck into Andor, was hesitant as I remember everyone raving about The Mandlorian and it was way overhyped imo, but Andor actually delivers.
Still slowly but surely making my way through Sopranos, on season 5, class show.
Also nearly finished season 2 of Severance, it's good but slow.

Kings of Thrash (Dave Ellefson/Jeff Young) have released their first (?) original, pretty rough to say the least.

I'm going to a festival with them playing in July so have been delving into their stuff as I've only really listened to DODS and BMD. I know they got more melodic but it is not what I was expecting at all, not sure what to think actually, the late 90's stuff is pretty good/typical of the sort of goth metal route PL, Anathema etc went down.
But then checked out the early 2000's stuff...was this well received at the time? I had Viva Emptiness on earlier, there's some decent riffs but there's an almost nu-metal buzz off it that sort of has me questioning it, definitely a big Tool influence there as well. Oh and the lyrics are awful "he went too far the fucker, it's not like I owe him money, this is different" should not be uttered in a song once never mind as a recurring pre-chorus

Watched 'Locked' last night, new thriller sort of film with Bill Skarsgard and Anthony Hopkins, nothing epic but pretty good, Hopkins still plays a great nutter.

Haven't listened to it yet. The debut and Meliora are great, on the last one he was trying to incorporate the Dokken/80s Ozzy thing with pop but it's just a bit too bombastic and ultimately the songs weren't good enough.
