Enjoyed both nights, second night sitting was also pretty good.  $ off Puppets the first night and 4 off RTL the second night was great. I enjoyed Whiskey (oddly) and though Until it Sleeps was great too, always liked that song though. Nice to hear One and Blackened of course.  Overall - 2 great nights, dodgy stadium sound to be expected but cool.

Enjoyed that last night despite the rain and the 1 hour it took to get to the red cow afterwards. Pretty well organized. Great to be able to get so close to them down on the pitch. Of course the sound was ropey - its a fucking bowl. Missed the openers (no loss there), Pantera were grand - not my thing but enjoyable enough. 4 songs from Puppets was cool. I thought they played the black rose parts pretty well to be fair, but yes, id rather see a Justice song instead of it. A few unnecessary songs on the list but hey thats what you get.  Sadly we probably have Whisky and Sandman tomorrow night - no escaping them ha! Hopinng for a few more of RTL and Justice too though.

Blind was my intro to these guys, its a masterpiece and their peak for me. Reeds drumming is so great - it makes the album.  Deliverance was also excellent, but i lost touch with them after that til AVD came out and that had a few great songs on it but since then it's been pretty bland for me (and thats 20yrs now, christ...)

I and many other old farts have been bangin' on about Somewhere in Time forever    its always been my favorite, since i first started listening to them when SIT was only a couple of years old. Its great to see that so many others have picked up on its brilliance after so many years. Its the album I have purchased physical copies of more than any other album cost I kept (literally) wearing them out.

 7th Son is also perfect - as is Peace of Mind. Hard to separate any of those 80's albums really. The level of quality they maintained up til 7th son year after year was just staggering, especially given the constant touring. 

But SIT has Adrian's writing and solos at its core and that makes it stand out for me - the solos on Stranger and Caught Somewhere in Time are some of the finest things he ever wrote and to see them live over the last few years was just amazing.

I really enjoyed Overtures of Blasphemy!, i was definitely in the minority on here at the time!

Me too - the first 5 or 6 songs on that are really strong actually
