Should Mother Theresa's son, Anthony Fauchi, be forced to take a booster shot for each time he invokes the Fifth Amendment.....?

It'd be cheaper for the state, not to mention far more unpleasant for him, to pump him full of covid-19 

Not a fan of Don't Pass Me By. Even less a fan of Ob-La-Di. I could go on. Course, it has more bangers than misses, even a couple of all time top 10 Beatles' tunes, but it's just such an absurd "album" as a whole, I tend not to even compare it to the others of that era.

Haven't seen The Bar, but a few of his others. He's hit and miss for sure, and I guess the hits aren't the same for everyone!

Rec definitely left an impression!

I thought all of these were really good, especially Day Of The Beast. That one is really funny.

Re-watched this and, yeah, still a classic. Put me in the mood for more of same, so then re-watched another from same director which I've prob mentioned on here before: the ridiculously over-the-top Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi, translated as Witching & Bitching. Spark one up for it! 

 

Rubber Soul, to my ears, is better than what went before, but still more comparable to that than to everything that was coming round the corner. And even though I prefer Abbey Road overall, not only does Sgt. Pepper's have the least annoying Ringo tune, I think it also has their strongest opener and strongest closer.

Yeah, "taking liberties" might not even be the way to think about it, since it's less an adaptation as something new that Nolan has created using material from various sources plus his own additions. Like the character Sinon coming from Virgil's Aeneid, and according to the review above, the portrayal of Circé being inspired by a novel from a few years ago, etc. At least he didn't do a Coppola and call it 'Homer's The Odyssey'

It remains very amusing that the one thing his long-time foes are not saying he was lying about, now, in a 180° about turn, is how dangerous the virus was. From what I gather, the smoking gun is about the origin of the virus, and for that to be worth hounding him over, it has to have been as lethal as he was making out. We also have evidence proving Trump was also saying one thing to the public and another thing in private. But, in his case, that was about the risk to life. One has to wonder if the people who died avoidably, the majority in red states, would care more about deception over origin or deception over risk 

saw The Odyssey. Enjoyed it. Will def watch again; usually I need a second watch to properly appreciate a new vision of something I know fairly well in another form. Not to mention, in typical Nolan form, the final act(s) modify the deeper meaning of the rest, so at least one repeated viewing is expected. Read that review too. Self-important shite, a terrible review imo.

Circumstances helped save me from prolonged over-familiarity: never bought it on CD, so after a childhood of it being my most listened to album by far, once my folks' record player went kaput and me aul wan wasn't bothered repairing or fixing it, since she was happy out with the radio and the telly, there was a couple of decades where I barely listened to it at all. And glad for it I am; wouldn't want to be getting tired of my first fatal hit of overdriven guitars and vocals! 

I'd still choose Sgt. Pepper's over it, personally. Top 3 would prob be Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper's, Revolver. Speaking of 'Yellow Submarine', Sgt. Pepper's also imo has the least annoying out of the three respective Ringo tunes ('With A Little Help From My Friends')

Is that in Dazed & Confused?   I don't remember it. Didn't make it to the soundtrack album if it is. But yeah, killer song. And album! Golden Age of Leather is an amazing tune.
