People would pay €75.95 + booking fee to go to the opening of an envelope these days.

I saw about 19 diff vids of the same bit of Break Stuff and it looked like it was heaving.

If it was the same weekend, GOTH was definitely a Saturday (possibly the same week as the first Arthur Guinness Day), cause it was an all-day job.

Yea, the meme will be dead and gone by Friday. Nobody is going to this for that reason.
Should be good, not seen them since that 2009 gig. Something was on the Saturday of that weekend, was is Gospel of the Horns for the Invictus anniversary? I think that was that year.

Other than him playing these shows, there's no official announcement that he's the new guitarist, I imagine it's just a stopgap.

It all seems quite bitter. Brent was very much integral to their early sound, but that has waned massively in the years since Crack the Skye. He's clearly a contrary fucker, I can think of at least three times seeing them live where he was visibly having a strop on stage. Interesting to see what, if any, impact this has on future releases. As a massively fan, it's a shame that it is seemingly so acrimonious, but at the end of the day, 25 years of a definitive lineup is some going and I don't have to work with these people.
Hushed and Grim doesn't get enough love, some superb stuff on there.

It's not even an important nu-metal album, nevermind beyond that scope.

I saw clips of Bill talking about the cost of everything post-covid really decimating their ability to tour, taking stage setup, pyro etc. Which is grand. But leave that in Holyhead if you have to, lads, just play a show.

Would love a standalone Mastodon date. They've not played here since 2019.

Saw a few spinkicks in the pits, I know that's a thing that could happen for both Crowbar and ND in the USA depending on their audience, but it went down like a total lead balloon in last night

Thought I'd catch at least some of FOH,but no dice. Just saw the stage being cleared as they finished.
Got stood up on the balcony to the right just at the speakers, perfect view.
Crowbar were savage. It's something that shouldn't really work, the riffs are as basic as basic gets, but it's all about the execution. Laughed at the single pedal Kirk had - a tuner - relative to the big board I saw coming off after FOH. When the tour was announced first, I thought it was co-headline, so was a bit disappointed when I saw the set online a few weeks ago. Would have enjoyed more off Sonic... A lot of that is on me, I could have seen them countless times over the years. Loved it.
Napalm do as Napalm do. The new albums always get rotation for a week on release, but bar The Code... I never end up going back really. All that stuff sounds lethal live. Great set and a great gig.

Every good Crowbar shirt I've ever seen has been ruined by a desperate backprint.

This kind of ties in with the Primordial threads too, but I find that albums I loved from maybe 12-20, I have zero concept of how they could sound better. When people would love them but wish that they did x, y or z in the studio, it kind of washes over me. With more recent (15+ years is recent) I'm way more discernable about how things could be improved. So the "flaws" in The Gathering Wilderness have never even registered on my radar. That said, a Remastered Rust in Peace being my intro to that album, and then getting an original (off BSC/Chris I believe!) totally knocked my socks off. Was like being born again in Mustaines light.
