General Discussion / Re: The Tube.

Watched the new Masters Of The Universe series on Netflix over the weekend. Good craic, just as good/bad as the original toy advert one, just better animation and had an arc as opposed to standalone episodes. Playing spot-the-voice was half the fun.

Yeah, watched it all in one sitting one late evening. Bit of a bait and switch taking out He Man and Skeketor in the first episode but I guess it was interesting to give the other characters a chance to shine. I thought they might have done Adam surviving and having lost the sword, and thus having to live and fight as a normal lad without the powers to rely on.

Watched another series of mini documentaries called 'explained'. Each episode is about 20 to 25 minutes, interesting and well explained topics without being patronizing. Saw topics on cults, credit cards, the exclamation mark and  one from 2019 about Pandemics and when the next one will hit.

Saw all the episodes of 'how to become a tryrant' on Netflix. Nice easy half hour episodes that are informative and entertaining. Peter dinklage does the narration

There's two tracks under the 5 minute mark. That's unusual these Days.

Wonder how much will be played on this tour? At least 2 maybe?

It certainly was a glorious day today. Had a BBQ at Hillsborough Park then a 99. Wee fella had ice cream over his face and loved it, then round to the play park. Who needs foreign travel with weather like that?

funny how peoples jaws don't drop amid a chorus of shocked gasps when some cunt struts along the beach with a union jack tattooed on his/her arse, yet far far more murder, torture, rape, ethnic cleansing, pillaging, burning and general destruction has been carried out under the banner of the union jack than was ever carried out under the banner of the swastika.

To be fair, they've had more time to do all those naughty things than the Nazi's.

Still, is any country dodgy free?

Yeah thel video is pretty cool. Not 100 percent sure on the song, won't make a good opener but would do well mid set.

As much as I love the newer albums, I wouldn't mind if they did release an 8 track album with 7 songs around the 5 minute mark and one track around the 8 minute mark. Would fit perfectly on one side of a 90 minute TDK tape.

Could be nostalgia talking there though. Having said that I do rate those new albums along with the classics.

I'd imagine they'd throw in a new song or two in with the legacy tour?

My mate got me into modern board games a few years ago (big fan of the traditional scrabble one. I know how to get rid of the Q).

There was a great one called Camal Up which was great, even played it during a zoom get together with half a dozen of us when the lock down was really severe.

A great one we would play around the family table at get together is Bang! A dice rolling game set in the wild west, even granny can play.

So Maiden have been laying a trial of bread crumbs regarding album number 17 and it seems on the 15th we're going to get something.

From what this article says, they've been quite busy planning this

The amount of times the camera is not in the right direction, or on a completely irrelevant guest when someone else is talking or if the sound doesn't come on for a guest for a good few seconds does make it look very amateurish. There was a report that a Welsh episode of paw patrol out drew it in the ratings, but if GBN our drew the BBC or Sky news does that not say more about our news in general?

Like that Richard Greer thing?  Wonder what would happen if Freddy Starr came round for tea while that was happening?
