Maybe it would be better overall if we simply had a "no politics" rule in Off Topic. Having started none of the political threads here, I'd actually be all for it.

Youve had that exact same speech Carnage made from a number of users in one form or another. At least once from me. Instead of  changing the forum rules how about you correct your behaviour. Your incessant need to flout your intellectual prowess irritates everyone.

Do you think the forum rules are actually in use?? Like I said in the CT thread, the flagrant and continued disregard of the forum T&C’s is what ruined the place as there’s no mods. How KC is only at a 20% warning at this juncture is beyond comprehension.

Saying BSC irritates everyone is incorrect. It probably just grates on the people getting called out for spouting shite rather than letting them get away with it. The problem is there’s so much crap here from the usual cohort that he’s the only one seen fighting it. I can see why others said feck it all, so it’s hard to understand why so much time is spent fighting so much nonsense here. It’s difficult to believe most people here are actually in their late 30’s to mid-40’s with the infantile put-down attempts etc.

Anyway, back to topic, freezer stored butter is indeed madness. you always end up having to put the butter up against whatever hot drink you get  >:(

Anyone else irritated by the same 3 posters who are littering threads here with links and multi-paragraph posts that no-one is going to read?  They're in almost every single thread across the site and it's probably off-putting to people who wanna contribute but get drowned out by the noise.

What a little drama queen you are. The site is fine. Perhaps the Internet isn't for you.

(As you said yourself on the CT thread)

Mocking the dead is a bit much. Returning people to their point of departure and refusing them access to any kind of state support once they arrive is the only thing that will stop these death dinghies. The problem of people undertaking these incredibly dangerous journies was created by the left. Angela Merkel also has a massive case to answer for turning the Mediterranean into a watery graveyard.

Seriously? To make a local link, what encouraged people on to coffin ships to America during an Górta Mór? Did they expect state support on the other side? Or was it plain desperation that drove them to take a perilous journey perhaps, that no matter what things have to be worth working towards?
Any different now for people in so many other countries that they won’t take risks anyway to go to places where they see better opportunities for a better quality of life?

I doubt, as fucked up as both the left and right are, that the right would glorify the slaughter of innocent parents and children in a parade.

I was linked to an article in the Daily Mail the other day about the 27 men, women, and children who died in the Channel Crossing, got down to the comments and what do I see? A whole load of vile right wing cunts, just like you KC, mocking the dead.

Our resident cretin is addled as usual. Wasn’t he hoping for Polish border police to shoot immigrants just last week, not distinguishing between adults and children there??

KC, you’re a blinkered cretin beyond compare. So anyone at all with a cardiac condition, without knowing sweet feck all about them, well yeah it just has to be down to a vaccine because everyone knows a game was never held up before for a medical emergency in the stands. Really?? Pathetic.

Colleague’s buddy just passed away at 48 from Covid 19 - no underlying conditions, no vaccine, but ended up in ICU and the graveyard. Also discovered that my former lecturer (colleague of my uncle) died from Covid 19 after 2 weeks in ICU. He was a well fit and lean 74 year old and didn’t look a day over 60 and didn’t believe in the vaccine but it got him, not a heart attack. But yeah sure it’s all a scam by “them” / “the jews” and they no doubt put them into ICU and the grave to teach them a lesson for not conforming.

And so you as a guy that makes “jokes” about rape survivors killing themselves instead of being murdered is now worried about kids being “abused” for wearing masks in school?? I asked my 10 year old kids today how they got on and guess what? Not a bother on them. But maybe you should get on to Tusla because you know better obviously coming from whatever planet you’re living on.

Maybe come off the mushies and the net and stop posting utter scutter repeatedly. But unfortunately I’m sure you’ll just carry on showing yourself up and ignoring how you and your sources are being constantly discredited that you just conveniently skip over to continue posting more outlandish nonsense.

.

Any thoughts on The Wheel of Time getting to tv.

I finished the books about a year ago so looking forward to seeing how it develops in the series. I’m gonna wait til the xmas holidays to start watching after S1 has been fully released but I’d be interested to see what fans of the books make of it.

I just recently finished Terry Brooks’ The Heritage of Shannara. Found it a bit of a slog really so had to read some other books during the 4 books in the series (pain in the shoulder from holding the omnibus edition!). Is the original Shanara series worth checking out?

Don't let the Irish off the hook too quickly; it's half the unvaccinated in ICU that were born abroad. Good to see this analysis has finally been done though, in Ireland at least. I've been trying to find something similar for a couple of weeks, thanks for the share man.

Sorry I could have been clearer. That was my reading based on percentage of people born in Ireland v born abroad relatively speaking, i.e 87-13 yet 50-50 in ICU. The disconnect wasn’t something I really thought of before the way people tend to listen to news and family from back home, so missing out on local announcements. Interesting to see they have translated into so many languages, but yet it’s a pain trying to bridge the gap for targetting.

Nice one for the CSO link Giggles. Bedtime reading for me perhaps 🙂 Ha, Snare and Mr. Sneer aka Nazgul to add to your confusing college whirlwind 😆

Interesting article here tying back to a CSO report released last Friday:

https://www.rte.ie/news/primetime/2021/1122/1262461-unvaccinated-hse-hospital-admissions/

So median age for vaccinated  in ICU is 61, while it’s 52 for unvaccinated. Also, 33% of the unvaccinated had no underlying conditions, while 3% of the vaccinated had no underlying conditions . And it’s mostly people born abroad that make up the unvaccinated figures.

I must check out the actual CSO release…

Bravo for the previous 2 BSC posts, class  :)

As if there were never regular ads for knowing the signs of a stroke. Some posts here could easily be confused with the warning signs.

Have the demo on bandcamp, picked the debut album up on the strength of it last night, right up my street anyway.

The only exercises you two should be worried about are those of your own "powers" of inquiry and reasoning.

This Aenigmatum record has to be the most ridiculous coloured vinyl thing I've ever seen. It looks like someone melted a bag of sweets.

   Lucky I didn’t read this st breakfast time, cornflakes would be all over the shop! Class description, these vinyl merge patterns are gone fairly extreme alright.
