Wakes.

Mother-in-law passed away Wednesday, funeral in Spain this morning. No wake after. The absence of one really made it stand out to me how great a thing they are to have on an otherwise miserable day.

I don't even need to know the details: any story has a protagonist called Chicken Roll, I'm on his side.

Can't say I totally disagree with you on that, reminds me of the sound Sneap gave Hell. Strange though, cos it's not Sneap but rather Arthur Rizk who most recently did... Absolute Elsewhere!

Emmanuelle Seigner? If you liked her in that then check her out in one of Polanski's slightly earlier ones too, Bitter Moon. Mental film, probably in a very different way to The Ninth Gate though (which I haven't ever seen having heard it wasn't great, added to list there now though).

La Chimera is molto bene. Two for two for Josh O'Connor out of what I've seen him in (this and Challengers): will be keeping an eye on him.

Season 4 of Fargo wrapped up tonight. A noticeable drop in quality, but was grand overall with some genuinely great performances.

Don't think it's been mentioned, and I had in mind it was 2023 but apparently not, so Dionysiaque's Diogonos is definitely in my albums of the year.

That France, despite the existence of Hellfest, remains the least metal country in continental Europe continues to be a source of endless disappointment!
