Well, I had a great time, missed Noctem but the other 2 were great, crowd was in good form, merch was good. Only downside was the whole thing finished at 9.45, no idea why, were Whelans going to use that space for a club after?

Quote from: Megalodon on April 03, 2026, 05:07:03 PMWould love Satyricon to show up here while they over for that.

Health,Eyehategod and WITTR must have all played these shores at least twice in the last 5 years it feels like and as you allude to Crowbar are the Doom/sludge equivalent of Nile Rogers may aswell take up residence.

I think the price is nuts myself close to 200 euros?
Yeah it's about 200, it's a little pricey but I just paid 53 euro for Clutch in the Academy so in that context it's ok. It was very well organised last year and the venue is good

I liked all their stuff. I think i love the Mercian Sphere the best. The Threnody of Triumph is also great.

A Valley Thick With Oaks is an incredible song. They did it live in Opium, Dublin about 3 or 4 years ago and it was perfect.

Came here to see if anyone posted about it.
I have tickets and delighted with the new headliners. Haven't seen CoL and Satyricon before so that's great. Despite Crowbar being here a lot, I kept missing them, so that's a nice bonus. Igorr I have only heard a couple of tracks but it looks suitably mad.
For the previous announcement, I was already pretty happy with Eyehategood and WITTR and a few of the smaller bands look great too (Rwake, Dodsrit etc)

Quote from: Pain Medicine on March 26, 2026, 01:29:31 PMThink it's only Alien Ant Farm supporting on the Irish dates. Not sure if that's better or worse.
Oops, missed that - I have edited the OP - thanks

They have a knack for writing catchy songs, every album has 3 bangers on it.

If you can't enjoy the Newport Helicopter, you're missing out
