Baest are a really cool death metal band from Denmark, the singer has a great voice and the songs are headbangable, have seen them live twice and they really put a lot of effort in.

Balcony was closed. Was about half full. T shirts at 45 a pop. They didn't make much money out of that gig

I only know a small bit of Cold from back in the day. I was a little worried when I saw the the crowd but thankfully a lot of people there were big into it and it made it a good show, the singer did seem genuinely happy at the response. They did play a couple of dud songs but overall pretty good.

The energy was better for Hed pe due to the nature of their songs, playing the Broke album in full was fine but a couple of those tracks should never be played live  . I enjoyed it but the set was very short at about 45 mins, and due to the track listing, 3 of the 4 best songs were at the start of the show so the middle dragged.

I've been relentlessly playing their new album. It's absolutely amazing stuff.

They are phenomenal musicians for a start. There's a making of documentary on Youtube that shows the guys in studio, also Dean Lamb has his own Youtube channel where he plays his own and other bands songs.
The song writing is so good, I am really digging the melodic aspects of the new songs. It gives a sense of relief from the ultra fast sections and holds the whole song together.
The song videos are also so well done, really funny stuff. Carrion Ladder is an 8 Mile parody and is well worth watching.

Mostly, I like that the guys are funny, not taking things too seriously, messing around, now that they have gone independent I am really hoping they succeed.

Yeah we're only landing in Manchester at 7.30pm, didn't bother looking for tickets as it'd be too late to make all the gig. I think there's enough on Sat and Sun anyway.

At this point, on Saturday, I am most looking forward to Cult of Luna, with a side of The Bezerker and EyeHateGod, on Sunday Igorrr & Shining. But there's so much good stuff on the bill.

I think I'll hire a car from Brussels airport, is there any special parking for the glamping or we have to get the shuttle bus too.

Good mix of young and old at this which was heartening. Plenty of youngsters giving it socks. Though I did see two attempt some kung fu shit during the support but it was quickly stopped.

some of the young lads were a bit energetic at the start alright, but it was good to see them enjoy themselves after the messing stopped. Cryptopsy were good, I think the set was probably around the right length, it started to get a bit samey towards the end and I wasn't sure which song was been played.
40 was a bit steep for tshirts but I suppose they have come from US/Canada so they need to make a few bob on this.
