A logical decision music preference is one thing but how can it be justified a FFDP support act take top billing over bands headlining much bigger festivals.

You were spot on Neuro pleased to say that that was the Clutch ya want!
Audience wise it was clear a number were doubling up from the previous night.
An absolute buzz seemed to fill the room the moment it was obvious they were blasting out a different assortment of tunes, something the capital might take for granted perhaps.
For my money I believe we got the pick of the bunch set wise, Binge and Purge, Ghoul Wrangler now these are the types of nuggets I eluded to on last post.
Only 5 or 6 songs were repeated for me from the other night overall. Nice surprise too to just casually clock out with Mice & Gods.

That's kind of my thoughts on it too I took in the 2nd Dublin show. A decent evening that you wouldn't be raving about.
After seeing the first nights set got hopes for some nuggets but while there were obviously changes seems they've really fixed in staples for this run, on reflection now the first night did get the better one.
Diageo took over from Heineken in Livenation venues here back in Feb or there abouts, shame not to have a better beer option with the fine evening Guinness just doesn't cut it on a warm day. Soon had some cider felt it was the least bad option.
I've tickets to Limerick tomorrow, fingers crossed for a better outing.
Any stage times posted for that yet actually?

More red flags
Don't have link but saw over the weekend on socials in conjunction with STD entertainment the band were offering between 5-8k to open up for them!
The support has since been announced XIII Doors and Wicked seemingly have the wads.
Had this one on the long finger but quite simply supporting that sort of practice brings out the cynic I'm afraid.

Had to double check it was actually 2015 which was the last year I went.
Delighted I swerved 2016 apparently worse than the brownload of 2012 which I did attend. Wrestling looks to have gone to an acknowledged brand and in the main arena in 2016.

Are LoG headline shows different these days, only ever remember them doing 70-80 mins. An hour support slot should see them knock out most of what they do if not tbh.

It's in essence a rock festival for wrestling fans, there was even wrestling show in the campsite the last one I went to years ago. This is just the natural evolution of that.
2019 I think was the last one that the bill almost tempted me back but passed on it in the end.

Would love Satyricon to show up here while they over for that.
Health,Eyehategod and WITTR must have all played these shores at least twice in the last 5 years it feels like and as you allude to Crowbar are the Doom/sludge equivalent of Nile Rogers may aswell take up residence.
I think the price is nuts myself close to 200 euros?

Yeah I went the Sunday. It was a great AIC set one of the first post Layne gigs hadn't even released the comeback album iirc, Jerry joined Metallica for Nothing Else Matters later in the day. Yeah A7x got the bump up after Korn cancelled it was okay from what I remember they were unfamiliar to me at the time only knew Beast and Harlot and the Pantera cover.
I notice the latest addition to Download this year is boyband Five playing the campsite.

Happened to be in London Halloween time pre covid and they were playing Cruelty in full so had to head along I reckon as good as you could get from CoF in a live environment Schoolcraft and the spinny guitarist clearly a cut above what they left with recently.
Went to an indoor thing in the Netherlands since where they were on the bill must have being having a gander here and there on social in the build up I guess that my interactions led me to get a notification some Zoe has invited you to like their page.
Who? I go check it out and shes apparently the new girl on keys in CoF,okay.
She certainly used this to push her band Catalyst Crime if you want a laugh check out their material.
In CoF I suppose shes serviceable without leaving much of an impression this thing shes the lead singer doesn't have a strong vocal and on some songs is even appearing to channel Dani vocals.
Funny it was her page I first read the recent drama to flood in.
New contract displayed forbids side projects maybe the stumbling block that stung the most.
Her new husband Pinhead was in the band for over a decade he knew the craic.
Issues with work environment taking its toll and labelling abuse is one thing, blaming the loss of a child is quite a dazzler to be thrown at you I'm sure.
Looked up Spinny guitar chap see what hes up to since he must have left over similar, Richard Shaw his new gig is now with Inglorious given Nathan James strikes me as the classic rock version of Dani Filth I'd be curious if terms are miles better than Filth.

London is London but given the way things have worked out for them could very well be the last time Wales see them.
You'd hope the Hatebreed lads are over taking in the Sabbath event as on 15 mins after doors to play 20 mins is hardly worth the journey.
The bare half hour for Mastodon is pretty criminal aswell.
