Blaze is on at 3pm in Belfast according to the Facebook event. It's a matinee. You'll be home and tucked in by 6.

Yeah on resales the buyer pays the service charge again + VAT on the service charge + a €2.95 handling fee.

Tickets for Deafheaven were €34.90 after fees and I left it until this week and had to buy on resale and paid about €42

Quote from: Pagan Saviour on November 25, 2025, 10:53:25 AMWhat will it pull? Hardly the full arena?

It'll be the small setup with the curtains down I'm sure.

I guess it'll probably still sell well enough but not sure if many people will be travelling for 'final European performance', anyone in Europe who wanted to see them on this farewell tour has had a chance.

Perfect chance for anyone who missed the final Irish shows

I know Axl is a bit rough now but I never saw them and would be more interested in the chance to catch them if it's an indoor show.

We bought tickets in the early bird for this but will probably sell them on, haven't decided yet. I count about 8 bands I want to see, not really interested in the headliners although I'd watch GnR if we went.

A 5 day camping ticket is now £365.

Write up in the Irish Times;

Quote from: Pain Medicine on October 23, 2025, 05:50:27 PMTwo words have followed Disturbed lead singer David Draiman since his visit to Israel last summer. The American Jew wrote "F**k Hamas" on artillery shells intended for use by Israeli forces in Gaza and shared the photos on social media.
The fallout has been extensive. Draiman was booed at the Black Sabbath farewell tour in Birmingham, while last week, a concert in Belgium was cancelled because the local mayor couldn't guarantee the band's safety.
Closer to home, Draiman got into an online spat with the fiercely pro-Palestinian band Kneecap and Irish-American actor John Cusack posted criticism of the musician on X.
Draiman's band, as well as their guests, Megadeth, have been on high alert for the entire European tour. A list of reviewers and photographers from media organisations had to be approved by both bands at least 48 hours in advance.

Other than that Mrs Lincoln, did you enjoy the play?
If this was a conventional review, Disturbed would merit at least four stars, possibly a fifth. The concert at Dublin's 3Arena on Wednesday evening was in two parts. The first was a 25th anniversary of their debut album The Sickness, a nu-metal tour de force from an era when teenage dirtbags still bought albums and played them from beginning to end.
The second half was a greatest hits parade culminating in their improbable greatest hit, their version of Simon & Garfunkel's The Sound of Silence played in the centre of the arena on a burning piano.
Disturbed have a huge sound for a basic four piece of vocal, guitar, bass and drums. Draiman is the centrepiece of it all, prowling, cajoling and exhorting the crowd, never relenting.
An online petition to have the concert cancelled garnered more than 10,000 signatories, but such petitions are so common now they are hardly worth the paper they are not written on.
Against that, a near full-house of music fans at the 3Arena were willing to pay for tickets and all the ancillary costs that go with attending concerts.
Given the online commentary in advance, it seemed likely Draiman would be subjected to derision within the 3Arena. It was quite the opposite in fact.
Given Palestine and Gaza's prominence in public discourse and online, it should be noted that a recent Ireland Thinks poll found 15 per cent of Irish people regard it in the top two of the most important issues they care about. That's a lot of people, but so too is the 85 per cent who are not as exercised about it.
That much was apparent at Disturbed. "I have been looking forward to this show," Draiman said before introducing the song The Light. "I have something that I need to remind everybody about. There are many people in this world who want nothing more than to pull us apart from each other. People fuelling their own biases and their own hatred trying to empower themselves by pitting us against each other."
Draiman elicited a loud cheer when he said the band didn't "give a s**t" about anybody's politics. A lot of people care about his, but not those present in the 3Arena on Wednesday night.
His last word as he left the stage was "peace".

Quote from: Black Shepherd Carnage on October 23, 2025, 12:58:29 PMDid Draiman say anything about the whole thing? Why I ask:
https://www.loudersound.com/news/disturbed-call-for-unity-david-draiman-signed-israel-bomb-2025

I was watching a clip and he made basically the same speech except was more vague, just said left and right, didn't use the words Israel or Palestine. There was also none of the hand holding I don't think. Was a fairly standard Metallica family speech.

First time seeing KSE do a full headline set and I thought they were great, Jesse sounded so strong on the cleans. I saw they were mixing up the setlist and we got Numbered Days over Fixation on the darkness and also got Arms of Sorrow which they weren't doing every night so was delighted with those.

Hatebreed also great, shame about the PA at the end kinda lost a little momentum.

Not sure what to think of Decapitated, was looking forward to seeing them but I'm not familiar with the new material and yeah with all the new members, playing a different style of music, seems like basically a different band?

FFAA were grand I was enjoying the first couple songs but quickly started to sound the same so got a drink and went outside for a bit cause I'd forgotten to bring earplugs. Was laughing at how triggered the drums were, sounded incredibly powerful and your man wasn't breaking a sweat.

Don't really like the venue, luckily got onto the floor last night but would be hesitant about buying a seat on the outer tiers between the PA blocking the view and the low ceiling. Also a shame the bands can't get their production onto the small stage.

Anyway it was a great show would see KSE again next album for sure.

Quote from: Trev on October 20, 2025, 09:09:18 AMSomeone was telling me there's no barriers between the seats and standing so you can just wander down?

I've heard it's that way too if you have a ticket for the lower unreserved blocks, but I don't know if they stop you if the standing has sold out.

Buzzing for tonight, never got around to listening to FFAO but the setlists for the other bands look good and am pleased Killswitch are doing a full 90 minutes despite it being a stacked bill
