It seemed alot busier then pantera, as an example. Maybe that's just me. Was way better value, with all the visuals etc

They did about 90min, but I don't think anyone would have complained if they went a bit longer. The mini stage intervals felt like breathers, and they still barely scratched the fragile, nevermind with teeth or year zero, which I still rate. Always leave em wanting more, I guess

Quote from: skuddington on June 15, 2025, 10:27:45 PMThat was class, lots of old shit, great visuals, sounded deadly. Not sure what was going on on the mini stage, was that a collaboration with boys noise?

Second set on small stage was with him.
ah, makes sense, no idea he he/they are. Seemed like they mostly did remixes of nin tracks, nice idea, if it was combichrist or hocico or something. Still, didn't take away from the rest of it

HYPE
On the bus up now. Anyone know what band they have? There is a set with pino palladino on bass on YouTube, sounded pretty fucking good. Assume they have the same lad on guitar, he's a staple at this point

It was heaving in fairness, it was a good gig for people watching, I'd say there was a fair few at it that experienced their first mosh pit. Bones was my first hip hop/ rap show, I had no idea what was going on. n8noface was proper baffling, Wesley Willis levels of outsider art

Gig was not great, every song turned into a 10 minute noodle while Fred talked shit. Nothing played off 3 dollar bill bar faith, which is a cover. Played break stuff twice. When fred pointed out that McGregor was in attendance, he got booed out of it, which was funny.

Quote from: ldj on June 02, 2023, 10:37:57 AMWhere I was I could hear the vocals clearly but the guitar was fairly muddy, I know he probably has bass cranked on the eq to make up for the obvious but it was hard to make out the melodic parts through the chugging, still enjoyed it though. I bought a t-shirt from the drummer while the openers were on.

I had a similar experience, sound was decent enough where I was standing. Only real complaint was the length of the set - felt like they could have played another couple tunes, whole thing was done by 10.

Saw a poster for this at the Ne Obliviscaris gig, was looking to get a ticket but it was showing as cancelled on tickets.ie. now its not listed at all. Can't find tickets for this or the Belfast gig online now. Nothing up on the band facebook page - anyone know what happened here? Is the gig still happening does anyone know?

Class, had hero on the turntable during the week, were deadly last time I saw them in Limerick. Hate to be a whinge, but no tickets.ie option? Hate using TM when I can avoid

blown away by goatwhore, first time seeing them live and they did not disappoint. creeping death were fun, dumb guy deathmetal, Alluvial were not my cup of tea. Really enjoyed revocation, but goatwhore are tough to follow.... not knowing any of revocations stuff, felt the better material was towards the end of the set, didn't open super strong.

Must admit, I've seen cryptic shift twice in the past year and couldn't tell what was going on both times. Saw vektor in the same venue a couple months ago and didn't have that problem. Maybe I'm just getting old .... It's a shame, love their music, was really looking forward to them both times...

It was pretty good in fairness, no bar, being in a church, but I was driving anyway. He had a go at the soundman at one point, which seemed a bit unfair considering the venue, but half the set was unreleased stuff from the upcoming album, other half was swans/angel of light stuff. Blind and new mind were fantastic
