Title: Live Black Metal Albums?
Post by: Beast Man on December 20, 2019, 04:11:33 PM
Do many exist?..just got thinking bout this cause was listening to the rather excellent God Seed Live in Wacken album today....they seemed to have nailed (pun intended) the sound perfect on this album which is a tough thing to do on a live album I would have thought...any other live black metal albums I'm missing?

Urfausts Trúbadóirí Ólta an Diabhail is really good. Id reach for this sooner than some of the album versions of the tracks.

The first Emperor live record was decent as well, think it was filmed in London. The European Legions one that Mayhem did was alright, although I never actually got the DVD version, especially if you like the Maniac-era stuff which doesn't get much of an airing anymore. They bundled it with Grand Declaration of War for a while, picked both up for eight quid.
