Deadly stuff.
They were savage the last time they played Dolans - Barney is madman on stage!
Great announcement. It'd be great to see Zealot Cult , Senzar on this bill.
I'd say they're both a given.
I think I'll head to Limerick for this if I can.
Gonna be killer , always a savage show and a ton of fun .
Nice one. Last show in Dolans was deadly!
Excellent, thanks a million!
I might chance the Limerick date, make a change from Dublin and might be a bit cheaper in terms of accomodation, too.

Dolans is a million times better a venue than the voodoo lounge too.
Agreed, rather drive to limerick than set foot in that kip again.
Never been there, haven't been to Limerick for 20+ years.

Well I know the one in The Voodoo is slap bang 5ft from the centre of the stage.
Any chance of them playing 'Suffer the children'?? :)
Epic news , gonna be killer .
Are Eyehategod supporting? Noticed they are supporting them on other dates.
UNYIELDING LOVE & OKUS to support on all 3 shows.

Now we're talking.
Unyielding Love are class, will probably be better than Napalm Death to be honest.

I'm pretty sure they could (just about) squeeze it in, alright.

ha, nicely done
.
Trying to remain positive but you think this business with Corona will be sorted by late August?
I don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows. If it's not it'll have to be dealt with but there's no choice but to pick dates and hope it will be.....same for all promoters. I mean MCD rescheduled some shows for June.

I think that's extremely optimistic - I work with 4 people in Shanghai and have weekly video calls with them. They've been on lock down since the start of Jan, only allowed leave their houses once every two days, must be wearing masks, get provisions and go straight back home. Only yesterday they told me there's been a slight relaxing of measures, parks beginning to open and coffee shops. Nothing like concert venues etc.
We haven't had to go to full lock down (yet) but the idea of mass gatherings being allowed to happen again at a quicker rate than the China is unrealistic in my opinion.
Yeah I wasn't suggesting that makes sense and no way they'll happen. Was just pointing out that every promoter has been taking a punt in the dark. That was right at the beginning of it that they did that so I guess it perhaps didn't look quite as bleak then.
Of course , wasn't having a go at you. It must be very difficult to do any sort of rearranging and planning when everything is unknown. I wish you the very best if this difficult situation. It must be a lot harder for smaller promoters to manage.
Jaysus it would have been a lovely day for heading to Limerick for this and scoops today. Here's my imaginary setlist / "poem" anyway to reflect our COVID-19 journey...

Is this likely to be cancelled at this stage, rather than postponed again? Must be some pain in the hoop rescheduling so many times.
Working on new dates for 2022.
Postponed - new 2022 dates TBA soon

Do I dear start getting hyped about this again? Nearly 2 years now since my last gig, but scheduled the holidays around this anyway. We'll surely be in a good place by the time this comes around 🤞🏻
Ticket sorted. I see this is selling very well based on DME facebook posts. (all 3 Irish dates)
Not long now.
I have a ticket for Dolan's, if anyone needs it
Can't make it
Will hit this avoided them the last time cos I can't stand Barney's politics but have been listening to harmony corruption and utopia banished lately so will head along
Wasn't keeping up with the gigs at all lately and see this is sold out. If there's any tickets for sale I'd be interested - definitely looking for 3, but possibly 4!
Shite didn't realise this was sold out .looking for one ticket

I saw them back in April and Barney came out with the usual cheesy shit but was still a great gig and they were only a support band so really looking forward to some headlining shows.

It's starting to remind me what it was like trying to get tickets for an All Ireland final when that was a thing in Cork... 😞
Times for Limerick:
Doors 8pm
Okus 8:20
Zealot cult 9:10
Napalm death 10:20
I can honestly say that was one of the best gigs of my life.
Okus were simply astounding, anything after them was a bonus. They really raised it a level since I last saw them.
If anyone in Dublin or Belfast is debating going then I can seriously say drive on , pay 2 or 3 times the ticket price to make this tour.
Wow, pure class entertainment 🤘🏻
Ya that was unbelievable last night for sure. How Barney can give that much effort tour after tour without destroying his voice is baffling to me. Did about an hour and 15 too which is perfect - any more would be overkill.
any idea what time first band is tonight?6.30 doors is mad early
Savage gig, Barney gave it his all. First time to hear Zealot Cult & they were excellent.
Edit: Sorted.

That's a quality night of entertainment right there. Okus are heavy as fuck :abbath:
Good gig although it did feel very short. I saw them in April doing a 40 minute support set and for some reason that gig felt a lot longer. Continuing War on Stupidity was a very nice surprise.
It would be great if they changed the setlist up a bit tonight but everything they played in April they played last night so I am guessing that won't happen.

Rodge from Cursed Monk had one a few days ago, not sure which gig it was for. If you go into the Irish Metalheads Uncensored FB group, a coupla people were also selling recently. One here, for example: https://www.facebook.com/groups/763892204100480/permalink/1370419276781100/
And Scobes just put two up.

I'd assume 6.50? 7 the latest? Well worth getting down early for Okus, great way to start the night.
Great to see Zealot Cult playing to a home crowd like that as well last night.🤘🏻
They actually switched up the setlist from last night, brilliant. I thought tonight was even better than last night.
Opening with "Unchallenged Hate" was a serious move. Fantastic set, it's amazing how they can still keep up the intensity, and are better every time I see them, after all these years. The absolute masters. I dunno how John Cooke got through that with a broken ankle.
Thought Okus were fantastic as well, Mark's a great addition. Zealot Cult also played fine but..yeah, not my thing. I'm sure I'll be savaged for saying that.
Napalm were excellent live. I though Shane Embury looked terrible though, although his performance was brilliant. He seemed wreaked altogether and was the first off the stage ha ha. Zealot killed it I thought and they sped up a lot of their songs which suits me
Limerick set list if anyone is intersted...
Sometimes people are just better off left alone...
My buddy neglected to have dinner before the gig as he thought he'd grab it at some stage in Dolans. Didn't happen.
Cue 1.30am in the courtyard area and the buddy falls to the floor. A good samaritan goes to pick him up, then on the way up he himself loses his balance and crashes into a table full of glasses and bottles on what was previously the OKUS merch table.
Broken glass everywhere, so lucky he didn't get cut open for his good deed. If it's someone here then thanks for the dig out just the same!

Haha Marsie sticking by the eating is cheating motto!
;D
Well All! Dolans absolutely heaving Friday. What a night of metal. The seminal Napalm Death, always expect true greatness and never be disappointed. Solid set from Zealot Cult, enjoyed the slower/3/4 pace tunes more so from them. Okus blew me away though. It's a long time since I was as excited seeing a band for the first time. Hard to define but top notch power, aggression energy and fury coupled with a savage band plus three top notch vocalist, blending effortlessy led by the formidable Mark, left this lad with a true visceral experience.
Well done to anyone who had a hand in putting this together, twas a long time coming
Was at the Limerick gig meself, all the bands were great, didn't know what was happening with the string break first during Okus and just thought "oh they must have wrote this one with one guitarist", lol I'm dense. They were deadly though. ZC in top form as always, just couldn't fault the lads, enjoy them every time I see them equally. Few new songs aires in the bunch by the sounds of it.
Saw possibly the greatest/most painful stagedive I've ever witnessed at the very start of ND, where the crowd didn't so much part to let him hit the ground as very slightly pivoted, he just sank straight through the grasp of everyone and pelted into the floor. Great way to open the set. ND were ridiculously good, not a dull moment, completely high energy and engaging start to finish. Loved it.

ND in the 3 Arena in December will be interesting!
