New Orleans face-melting thrash legends EXHORDER are very pleased to announce a UK/IRE tour for this coming October. The dates will be a landmark occasion for the band for several reasons; it will be the first time they have played in London, Manchester and Glasgow (they've only played the UK once previously - at Bloodstock 2018), and it'll be the first time they've played in Ireland. It's also dead set that the band will be airing some of their first new material in 27 years, as EXHORDER will be releasing their forever-awaited third studio album later this year. The record will be their first new material since the 1992 classic The Law.

Vocalist Kyle Thomas commented on the tour news:
"The upcoming run in October that Exhorder will make in support of our first new album in twenty seven years is special for several reasons. Of course, it will be great to return to the wonderful community of Essen, Germany for a show at Turock. However, there are some milestones for Exhorder that must be acknowledged. Although over the years my travels with Floodgate, Alabama Thunderpussy, and Trouble have taken me across the United Kingdom, Exhorder has never been to the UK before the one show we did in 2018 at Bloodstock. This year we will do two stops in England, hitting Manchester as well as London. We will also travel north to Scotland, performing for the first time ever in Glasgow as well. For me personally though, the true bucket list item on this trip will be not only Exhorder's first trip to Ireland, but mine as well. As the grandson of a full blooded son of Irish immigrants, this half-Thomas half-Harrigan is looking forward immensely to setting foot for the first time on soil rich in history that I know little to nothing about, regarding my ancestry. Our one show in Dublin will make it a brief stop, but rest assured it won't be our last! Everybody get a good night's sleep and take your vitamins, because Exhorder is bringing the energy your way in October!!!"

04.10. Essen (D) - Turock
05.10. Way of darkness festival (D)
07.10. London
08.10. Manchester
09.10. Glasgow
10.10. Dublin

Commenting on the long journey towards recording their third album, the band's founding guitarist Vinnie La Bella stated, "27 years? Man, that's a big number! A lot has transpired over the course of such an extended amount of time, and this record touches on it all. There is material on this record that is literally 27 years old along with material that was written just 6 months ago, and everything in between. There are truly no words to express the emotions which are connected with this moment. And that's pretty convenient because I prefer to do my talking in the ring/stage anyway. But the people who really made this what it is cannot go without mention: my incredible band mates; Simon and krewe at AISA Management; all at Nuclear Blast Records; and Duane Simoneaux at OCD Recording, Jens Bogren was an unquestionable genius! So honoured to have him on this. This is, without a doubt for the first time in our career, the album we intended to give you. Production, sound, art, it's all there with no compromise! I'm eternally grateful for all who helped make it happen. And to all that have waited for it, prayed for it, begged for it, or even dreaded this moment, much love and I'll see you in the 'Ring!'"

EXHORDER's enduring legacy began in the mid-80's when they defined the sound of Louisiana thrash and groove metal. Their initial formation was short lived, lasting nearly a decade with two critically acclaimed, classic albums, but their impact on the metal genre can be felt through a generation of bands that followed. EXHORDER dissolved in the mid-90's but briefly reunited in 2011. Now, the band has returned to reclaim their throne of NOLA metal with their awaited new album and an all-star line-up that includes Kyle Thomas (founding vocalist; TROUBLE, HEAVY AS TEXAS), Vinnie La Bella (founding guitarist), Marzi Montazeri (guitarist; ex-SUPERJOINT RITUAL, ex-PHIL ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS, HEAVY AS TEXAS), Jason VieBrooks (bassist since 2011; HEATHEN, GRIP INC.) and Sasha Horn (drummer; FORBIDDEN).

Cool stuff. I'd actually only thrown The Law on this morning after hearing their new song (which seems to show some promise).

Closest we'll get to an Irish Pantera show nowadays wha?  :D

Sounds good Johno. Thought we would have bumbed into each other at Monolith for a catch up. Thinking train up as late as possible and bus back as early as possible!

Remember Slaughter and Law from back in the day and recall them being very average and forgettable albums, despite the great artwork on the first one, but just put it down to us being kinda spoiled for quality back then with so many great thrash albums. But listening to those albums now, unfortunately my opinion hasn't changed. Couple of ok tunes (Descecrator) but nothing very memorable at all.......in saying that Im still going to this gig with bells on, for nostalgia if nothing else!!!!

Senzar (ex-Coldwar) and Crossfire. Seems they're out on their own and just getting local support at each gig.

Given the same studio/producer its no surprise but I only noticed yesterday (30 years later!) how similar Slaughter in the Vatican sounds to Deicide's debut album... they're identical sounding, its uncanny.   I dunno though, Im dithering over this gig, if i lived in dublin id go for sure, but im only half interested and its a long round trip on a school night... New album is good though (if not really the style i usually choose to put on these days...)

I, also, used to get disorientated by frequent time travel in the future.

Just noticed it's an EU / UK tour. Fuck 'em, they're stuck with us, giving them too much credit by singling them out as separate!!  ;D

What was the buzz with the after-show stage invasion anyway? Mr. Rees was not a happy man!
