Title: Pallbearer - New track "Atlantis"
Post by: StoutAndAle on June 17, 2019, 01:15:50 PM
I have to say that this is very underwhelming after 4 or 5 listens with a few beers over the past weekend. Given how good "Sorrow And Extinction","Foundations of Burden" & "Heartless" are, it's a high bar to keep reaching.

They've signed a deal with Nuclear Blast USA.

I enjoyed it. They admitted themselves that they're not used to writing single songs outside the framework of an album, but I don't think it compares badly to Heartless. I should really revisit that album though, since I didn't give it enough time. Foundations of Burden would be in my top 5 doom albums though, no doubt.

Vocals in particular on this new track are exceptionally nice.

Was fairly underwhelmed by this one too, overall the track feels pretty dull. I will agree the vocals are really nicely done though.
