Always looking for new bands and albums. Post things I most likely haven't heard before. that are decent.

wędrujący wiatr are great if you're into atmospheric bm with folk elements. Haive from Finland are great, epic black metal. The new clandestine blaze is really good. For the more bestial end of things Antichrist Siege Machine are excellent and despite the ridiculous name, the Blaphamagoatachrist demo was excellent, well worth checking out.

I've been spinning that Numenorean record for a long time. Apart from the sickening artwork the music is excellent.

Wolves In The Throne Room's Theice woven hasn't left the deck either

Altar of Perversion - Intra Naos is my favourite black metal album from this year. Had never heard of them before.

Came across this recently and have enjoyed the couple of spins I've given it.  Not particularly evil sounding,  it's very much in the symphonic sphere, but it works for me.  I can't think of another band it sounds like but maybe in a similar realm to Summoning.

Some great stuff so far. Will be buying at least three of the records mentioned.

Ungfell from Austria was my latest find. If anyone is into earlier Pest Noire stuff, this is spot on.

Listening to the new Pagan Hellfire  - At the Resting Depths Eternal at the moment. Class as always.  Nothing on YouTube yet so here's the bandcamp link.

Good idea. I've grown disillusioned with modern black metal so hopefully some suggestions sway me.

I listened to a bit of Taje Skal a week or two ago.  Sounded very good indeed.

The Auld Ridge stuff sounds very accomplished. I can't say what it is about it that stops me from loving it, though. Maybe it's just that I'm on a different little journey of discovery at the minute.

Drum machine is a bit of a melt on one of the tunes towards the end but I think it's savage. The folk bits are particularly well done.

I didn't even detect that it was a drum machine. I can hear that the dude is bursting with ideas and he's doing his own thing which is great. Not sure what it is that isn't hitting the spot for me and it might simply be that I'm not in the mood for what he's doing right now. I'll go back to it again and see if it clicks more because it's definitely worth a bit of effort I think.  I watched a cool video from his other project Hermetic Albion a while back and thought it was savage but I never followed up on it. I really admire what he's doing, his vision and the fact that he's not trying to fit anywhere specifically.
