I'm thinking of getting an acoustic, steel string, not bothered about it having a pickup, don't really want to go higher than €500 and am happy to go used. Any recommendations?
Really enjoying the Richwood electro I picked up just after Christmas. Hadn't tried them before but felt lovely in the shop. They have acoustics starting at around 350 in Savins in Limerick.
Is there a huge difference between a €300 acoustic and one for €1000? I don't use mine much but I can't really fault the €200 Tanglewood I got about 15 years ago.

I'd like to get something decent but it's an area I have absolutley no expertise in at all. I've seen Richwood around alright, will give them a shot, same for Tanglewood. Doing any reading up and you start to get into the kind of rabbit-hole stuff like laminate vs hardwood and the kind of stuff I don't really care about it if you can't really hear it.
Ah Jaysus, that's a rabbit hole I've no interest in going down.
Ended up picking up a Faith Venus Natural off adverts. Nice, but I'm gonna have to do some work on the action. My electric-loving fingers aren't prepared for this kind of messing.
