New album out July 5th.
Will be interesting to see if it will be as good as the debut as the Immortal lads were implying his debut material was originally for Immortal before they split.
Not much of a teaser.

he will definitely have to up his game, as the last Immortal album was great IMO. His debut was alright found it quite boring after a few spins.
The Abbath and last Immortal I thought were both pretty decent, but just kept thinking if he was still in the band and the best parts of the two were used it could've made one brilliant album
Aye, such a shame they split. Apparently his boozing is too far out of hand for anyone to put up with.
First few listens im liking it, love his Filthy Vocals :abbath:

The last Abbath album didnt stay around long for me anyway. Havent bothered with it since. That new song isnt very exciting though is it?
The giant ABBATH lettering behind him

I reckon this is the only way we'll ever get any kind of return to form from either of the lads. The last Immortal album was better than expected but still not good enough, Abbath seems to be stuck treading similar water.
They are streaming new album.

First album was awful, saw him live as well and other then hearing Nebular Ravens Winter and Solarfall the show was very boring. Even the fact that it was snowing heavily on the way to the show didn't make the experience any better.
He's playing again with Obituary and Midnight in October so will most likely end up at the show which means I will have to give the new album a chance.
I would love to see Immortal because going by the songs on the latest album I think they would very likely play a lot of material from the first 4 albums as opposed to songs from the three before Northern... Have they even announced any shows yet? Haven't heard anything about them since they released the album this time last year.
I'd rather he did another I album than hear anything more under the Abbath or Immortal monikers TBH.
There's a bit of Bathory and Immortal on this album.
It's not bad, better sounding than the debut, but fairly samey. Several songs blurring together for me. It's good drinkin music I'm sure, little more. Some nice leads on it this time around though. Maybe it's a grower
Had a listen of this over the weekend. The closing track is very good but I found the rest of it to be a bit of a slog. Lots of mid paced songs that don't differ too much from one to the next.

Where? Sorry. See now it's north US.
Some weird shit going on at a gig in Argentina last night
"ABBATH reportedly tried to open the concert with "Count The Dead" at least twice, only for the frontman to drop his guitar on the ground after 10 seconds and throw himself into the crowd. They then tried to perform a "very poor version" of the song "Tyrants" by Abbath's former band IMMORTAL, before Abbath left the stage and was taken to the dressing room, from which he did not re-emerge to finish the set."
Starts at 1:15. Doesn't look like he drops it. He takes it off and throws it on the floor.

He was too locked to play it would seem
I saw Abbath a few weeks ago for the second time supporting Obituary and he was embarrassment. I ended up leaving and missing Obituary because he was that bad. Now Mayhem are back in April who I want to see again but they decided to bring Abbath on tour with them which is very disappointing.
He is a mess he suppose to have a serious drink problem.
Cancelled the rest of the South America tour due to "health issues".
Abbath solo is shite anyway, he should stick to Motorhead covers or get I back in action TBH.

 fuckin hell what a mess! :abbath:
Jesus. That's shocking.
So basically we're watching an alcoholic have a nervous breakdown.
Some guy on Abbaths Facebook page saying that he traveled 2600 kilometers for the gig!
I watched it there again,tragic!
Christ that's hard to watch...
Could you imagine being at that!?..Imagine the levels of fear he experienced when he came round next morning!.Fuckin grim flight back to Europe after that!

Thats the first thing I thought of when I watched the video. I had my work Christmas party last Friday was only suppose to go down for an hour then meet people to go to a gig. I pre drank 8.8% bottles at home got down to the party started knocking back 7% pints don't remember what I said to people I don't like my job or some of the people I work with so I am sure that was said numerous times. Vaguely remember leaving then came to 3 hours later on the other side of the city with no idea how I got there to some fella starting on me over something I didn't even remember doing and I was a paranoid wreck for the entire weekend so I can only imagine how he feels.
I think this was the reason he got kicked out of Immortal so hopefully it's a wake up call and he cleans his act up. He's a bit of an idiot but I feel very bad for him after watching that.
 jesus nothing worse than Work xmas party fear!
Hope he gets some help with the booze. It's not the first time he's done something like this. I think the level of drinking he's at is no kind of fun.
There's been a few really bad Abbath shows lately. Really hope he sobers up completely and just gets Immortal back together with just him on guitar. He's a great vocalist/ guitarist. Would be a shame to just waste talent like that.
I doubt we will ever see Abbath in Immortal again.
I hope he doesn't go back to Immortal they have released the best album since at the heart without him. The show I saw last month being awful had nothing to do with him being pissed it was his stupid not funny stage antics and the music itself being very bad. Maybe the drinking has been the cause of the bad material he's been writing for years.
Quote"Throughout life you're dealt different decks of cards. I've been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to live my dream, which is writing music, putting out records and touring the world, playing to fans all over the globe. For the most part it has been a tremendous ride, but there's also been moments where things have gone wrong. Most notably during the recent tour of South America, where we had to cancel shows in Argentina and Brazil.
"It's no secret that I've been battling addiction. I have now come to realize that it's time to pick a fight with this demon. I've committed myself to a rehab program that's going to help me get clean once and for all. I feel more motivated and determined than ever to win this battle.
"Due to my program, we need to cancel the December shows that we have scheduled with my other band, Bömbers. We do apologize to our fans that was looking forward to these shows. We will make it up to all of you, and we're currently working on rescheduling these shows.
"Right now I'm very much looking forward to be coming back clean, stronger and more focused and fired up than ever.
"Europe and USA, you have been warned, we'll hunt you down like a thunderstorm next year. Nothing is going to stop us.
"Horns up!" - Abbath
Fair play to him.
Can't knock the lad for making a mistake and trying to do better next time. :abbath:

A show in Argentina where he was a absolutely wasted,,kinda starts off funny but descends into a full blown break down, pretty tragic.
