Someone mentioned, and I agree, that it's a bit naff having the main forum 'Notable deaths' thread serve everyone from metal legends to sports stars to people I've never heard of.
Best way round that is make another thread here for all non-metal related yet in some other (necessarily lesser) way notable deaths.
So, to get the ceremonies started here:
Walter Koenig, aka Ensign Chekov, at the grand age of 90.
(And yes, if I'd thought of it the other day, I'd have kicked this off with Dónal Lunny instead, but sure look it...)
Ah, lovely. More death.

:abbath: :abbath: :abbath:
I was watching an episode of Babylon 5 with him in it earlier, googled him to see how old he was. 2 hours later the news broke.
I'm googling Trump next.
Yeah that was me bitching about the nonsense on the metal thread being like a rip.ie of anyone and everyone.
I just happened to be tidying away my B5 books and shit loads other earlier, but I hope Carnage is on a roll looking people up now
Bibi and Nigel in the queue an' aĺl.
I'd settle for any 2 of the 4 ;D
Re the Babylon 5 books, the Bester trilogy about the birth of Pyscorps and his role it that amd subsequent demise was absolutely class if of interest to anyone. Great role he had in the show also obviously. RIP.
Oh man, even dying has gone full sub-genre...

He was fucking brilliant as Bester.
That just leaves Shatner and Taki then.
Jean Luc Picard.
Chekov and Picard at Sto'Vo'Kor.
RIP Patrick, the man saw it all...
