No interest in the gig but thanks, the title made me laugh!
Yeah no interest in it myself this time around. Seen them on the Mechanize run with Hoglan on Drums then the Demanufacture show a few years later, both in fairness pretty good. No interest in the new singer or this in general.
Should be the standard template now for gig thread titles
They're their own tribute band these days, I wouldn't be bothered anymore. Shame as the couple of times I saw them in the '90s they were mighty.
The new singer is very good, saw them live last year at a festival in Europe. Think they're releasing a new album. Shit that it is a Monday gig but I'll wander along to it

same and I'm a huge fan. Seen them with solid lineups and just have no enthusiasm at all anymore
I don't understand how people can get excited about the new singer who basically just apes BCB. So uninspiring. I suppose it's better than getting a hot female generic growler.
Generic growler....
Yes, I'm fifteen
I suppose if Burton isn't singing for them, I'd want to hear the closest approximation. I certainly wouldn't want to hear those songs sung in any other way. That's all well and good writing new material but that style of vocals is what makes FF work.
I saw them on the Demanufacture anniversary tour and that will do me.
I saw them on the Demanufacture tour in the SFX. It was a good gig. Not exactly amazing for some reason, but good. I think the only way to replace someone as distinctive sounding as Bell is to find a different singer with his own distinctive voice and go for it. FF karaoke sounds abysmal to me.
I'm with McLove. And whatever about having a similar voice this cunt has the same haircut and mannerisms as Burton, it's all a bit weird and Temu
Exactly. If he had any personality or identity of his own it'd be one thing, but this just smacks of the Static X situation - where you have a guy dressed up as the dead singer going through the same motions onstage. All a bit pointless, really.
The fact that they've been at it for a few years now and not a note of new music has been heard shows how dead they are creatively, and by 'they' I mean Cazares. I doubt any of the hirelings would get a say in the writing, given how he rearranged and rerecorded the last album after Bell left. All that's come out are rehashed versions of old albums. Give it up, move on.
Saw them a good few times with Bell, might go along to this just to see what the new lad is like, might not be arsed either
I do find it funny though how Dino used to constantly go on about how they tried to mimic his style for the albums he was out of the band, and then he gets an absolute clone for a replacement singer
Dino also invented every riff ever and every band signed in L.A. was because of him, no one used 7 string guitars until he did and he should be getting points on their records according to him.
He's as bitter as Mustaine.
New singer is close to BCB yes but he can sing, but if you want the FF 'experience' would you want someone totally different? even the drummer is new but no-one mentions that they want Raymond Herrera.
I would prefer this than, let's say Exodus who now have had three different singers and it's arguably more of a mess.
I'm not sure how a band becoming a karaoke version of themselves can be called true. Actual artistic integrity would call for something else, something a little more demanding and daring. Then again, FF were only ever a one album band for me.
I was so into them in the 90s but any vid of them from the "classic" era they seem to have sucked live a bit. Them and white zombie. Relied too much on production I guess. Love the first FF album, great riffs and bass sound.
I'd love if the lineup that had no Dino got together under a different name and started gigging FF songs. It would be more Fear Factory than this cover band
I had a quick look just because one or two gaslighters reckon this is actually good..............Fuck that. Temu Fear Factory

Wasn't gas lighting personally, just giving a different opinion. The only way I would personally go to a FF show is using a time machine to the early 90s.
Ya, I wouldn't have much interest seeing them without Burton and would have even less of an inclination to see what they're like with a different singer on new material.
Thematically, a clone would actually be ideal.

I logged in just to laugh at that

Didn't BCB fuck them over too when he got back with Dino... till that inevitably went tits up.
Yeah, think getting back with Dino is what started all the lawsuits. There was a picture a while ago though of BCB and Wolbers hanging out at some music convention so I guess things have smoothed over there at least. Herrera just seems to have disappeared from the metal scene though
