Any times for the Dublin show?
Wasn't going to this myself but looks like both Irish shows have just been cancelled.
They did a promo for it 2 weeks ago so it's strange that it's only now they seem to have a disagreement with the promotors. But as someone commented previously don't be surprised if this falls through. I was going to go but hadn't got around to buying a ticket yet for this reason.
I have been to loads of shows this promoter put on over the last few years that had no issues EHGx2, Krisiun, Harley Flanagan, Carpathian Forest, The Exploited and bunch of punk stuff.
Reading the band statement on this I would guess it didn't sell as well as expected so he tried to renegotiate with the band and they couldn't come to an agreement. The band said they have no issue with the promoter.
This promoter has had a lot of issues in the scene. Kicked out of Grand Social and Voodoo etc
I know you said there was no issues with those gigs above but there def was major issues between the promoter and Harley.
A lot of bands and people have distanced themselves from him
Shame, one or two cool gigs that went ahead that were out of the scope of other promotors - the Carpathian Forest one for example.
I've just copped the same promotor is bringing Unsane over in April - that's one I'd like to see.
Really not surprised this show is cancelled knowing who the promoter is
He will not put any effort into the actual shows and if you throw shit to the wall sometimes it sticks (That's why some of the other shows were able to happen)
Other shows have been cancelled already for this year and there was a load last year, just in it for the few bob and does not give a shite about the music.
Ok scratch that won't be going to Unsane or indeed anything else he's putting on.
