Lovely.
That's a great lineup

Fuck yeah!
Brilliant news!!!
YES
Im gonna try and do both Dublin and Limerick
Have they been here on any other occasion aside from the Neurosis gig?
Yeah, they played the Mean Fiddler\Wexford Inn or whatever it was called back then, when Blacky was in the band with Mongrain.
Ah cool - missed that one. Just the Neurosis support for me, will prob take in at least two of these.
They were here twice relatively recent years, with ND, Carcass and Obituary about 10 years ago, and then with Entombed AD maybe a couple of years after that.
Won't be in the country for this unfortunately, might look to see if they've anymore dates abroad.
Midnight are class live, will be at this.
Saw Voivod last month they were great. Can't stand Midnight.
Midnight not showing much faith in their new album - released in May this year - preferring to celebrate the lofty 15 year anniversary of a perfectly fine album.
Haven't seen Voivod before but have been into them since Dimension Hatross came out, delighted, June will be busy
I'm not well acquainted with Voivod at all, but I saw them at Graspop a couple of years ago and they were class

It's a covers album of bands from Cleveland
Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I gave it a cursory listen and it didn't grab me, but that explains why it felt a bit disjoined. Egg on my face.
Unfortunately can't make the Limerick date so have 1 ticket to sell. Face value.
Just looking over this, forgot I saw Voivod in Vicar St. Will go to this anyway. Didn't mind the first Midnight album but no interest.
Stage times for Dublin next week.
Doors:6
Cryptosis:7
Vöivöd:8
Midnight:9:30
Wtf?
Very odd. Fuck it, can get home before midnight now, wha!
I went back through this thread to see if there's a reason Voivod aren't headlining, fuckin' mad that. there could be a mass exodus after their set.
And a living Testament to the mass Exodus.
As long as they dont all run out into the street at once and cause a megadeth.
Voivod look like the headliners for all the other shows so far, wondering what's going on with Dublin?

It's ok it's on it whelans so we'll be dealing with Anthrax numbers there
Apparently the two bands have been swapping the headline slot, it'll be Voivod closing in Limerick and Belfast

Think they've about four different tees with one of them being the tour art work.
That was class!
Ya, unreal.
Super as always, marred only by what felt like a short set (an hour) and that fucking muppet stage diver. Into My Hypercube was the highlight for me.Along with the Bee Gees snippet. ;D
Woke up with the riff to Korgull stuck in my head. Best band ever.
Didn't really get into Cryptosis. Midnight sounded like if MGLA were formed in 1981 by Lemmy, Mick Mars and Phil Rudd. Didn't hold my attention musically but no denying they know how to put on a show. Voivod were class, as always. I with they had done a 90 minute set, though, so many great tunes left unplayed.
Class in iimerick.set seemed short but I suppose it's a good sign that it wasn't boring .
Midnight are just silly motor venom crap.moronic masks as well
Ah i enjoyed them, guitarist is really good.
Voivod are class, short set aside plus no Hypercube in Dolans
Couldn't make this, although looking at the recent setlists it's a shame they don't play much newer material, last few releases have been very strong imo.
Ya, was hoping for a tune or two off Post Society. Have had that on a lot over the last few months. Incredible EP.
Limerick was fantastic. Voivod looked like they were having a blast playing on stage. Really enjoyed the openers too. Midnight were good but to be honest it was a bit one note for me, I was kinda done with them after a few songs.
I get the 2 bands doing a co headliner tour so doing the same set length but I think it would have worked better with voivod doing 75 and midnight doing 45 mins. Only a minor note though, plenty of the crowd seemed to be there for midnight.
I love Midnight, happily admit I lap their schtick up so I was very happy they had an hour set. I do think it was an odd pairing though.
Saw the last 20 minutes of Midnight and that was all I needed. They had the place going but they are nothing on Voivod. That said, I understand the pairing.
Limerick was fucking class, really enjoyed that.
Lethal in Limerick. Loved the whole set. Great to meet them and chat for a bit afterwards too.
I see Eric Forrest is touring with them again for the summer, Snake is taking time to deal with personal stuff. I wonder will the setlist change, include more Negatron & Phobos material?
You mean Snake is taking time off?
No, Snake is Away for a while.
Sorry, Snake yeah. The singer. Stupid fucking nicknames.
Yep.
Bought the new record there at the gig and got it signed any one else like it
