Title: Slomatics - Atomicult
Post by: Black Shepherd Carnage on October 08, 2025, 09:53:02 AM
Hadn't heard anything about this. A forum search shows Carnage has given it a listen. Thoughts?

I put it on last night when the YT algorithm suggested it. Whopper, absolutely whopper!  :abbath:  :abbath:

Edit: Haha, sorry for initially accidentally posting a link to Blame It On The Boogie!

It's very good perhaps not as immediate and riff heavy as their previous effort. Still I like the vocals and the overall atmosphere. Never caught them live hope to rectify that.

I listened to it on YouTube a week or two ago and thought it was deadly. I think I commented here about it, but it might have been in the Now Playing thread. Marty's vocals are fucking epic and I love how they have fleshed the sound out with synths. It works so well.

Its killer..kinda got lost in the rush of stuff for me lately but still the best and most reliable band on the Isle for sheer riff power.

I didn't get a chance to listen to it yet beyond one song, but will rectify that today.  I'm a fan of pretty much everything else they've done so was in no huge rush to find out how I felt about this one

Yeah, I enjoyed it. A nice continuation of the direction of the previous couple of albums with more clean vocals and synths, all working well together. My only complaint might be that it's too short, the 40-odd minutes totally flew by for me.
